Where have I seen that photo before?
I swear I've seen that same photo somewhere, and I don't mean in my cockpit.
Very nice salvage piece, but I'd be checking very closely on the seller. 100% feedback in this case doesn't make me feel very easy. Not at all.Boeing Skunk Works

Dated 092006? I'd be very wary. Don't waste your money.

I just wrote the seller a message asking to see the real quadrant, and said I knew where the original photo came from.
We'll see what happens.Boeing Skunk Works

No pics on it at all now. See what you've done BSW Ha! I looked at the other items this person has sold, minor stuff for the 100%. Still makes one wonder why it is with no pics now.

Yes!
Yes! It seems as if yet another possible joker has been misplaced by the watchful eyes of the community. It's very hard to 'pull a fast one' as long as we keep an eye out on this sort of stuff. Well done.
Of course- if it's legit, I hope that he's able to repost and sell, but some how it's fishy now that it's been withdrawn...

Always ask for recent photos and learn from my early experience. I ask for time/date stamped photos. If they dont want to due it I guess they dont need the money that bad.
I've sold 3 727 quads on ebay for $750-800 cleaned and complete, I wouldn't spend over that. I also sold a 737 quad, and wouldn't go over 2000.00 unless they were a -300.-500 or 600 with the 3 bay. The guy I bought my real flight deck from was on crack when I asked for a -500 quad, he wanted 4500.00. He also asked for 25k for a 757 and 767 flightdeck, I told him to enjoy them all in a "nice" way.
Always ask for recent pictures. When I fist attempted to buy a real flight deck, a broker out of Sunrise, FL told me he found a flight deck in Lake Charles, TX. I asked for photos. I got "photos" of a flightdeck but was told the quality was bad due the to camera and "only" the left side of the flight deck. I went ahead and rented a 17' flatbed and drove 14 hours to TX with the broker, $5000, and a fully loaded Glock 17 because of the money and I dont know this broker personally. I leave Orlando at 6pm after working 12 hrs and drive 14 hours. I get there and see the remains of a cockpit with holes in it. It looked like it was parked at Bagdad airport during the first war. I was told "then", that it was used to teach skinning to students. As soon as I saw it I knew it was a 727. It didn't have the control colums, quad, rudder pedals....NOTHING!! in as in the photo. I asked what the H*LL is going on. The seller had a very FAKE surprised look on his face. Long story short either the broker or seller had photo shopped a 737 photo onto a photo of the fligjtdeck and blurred it to hide the crop lines becaus e the same banner was in front of the flight deck. The the seller says, "well you drove this far, you might as well buy it".
Options:
Pros: Shoot both and drop bodies in bayou off I-10, many positives, satisfaction of stopping these scammers form doing this to someone else, make the drive home more palatable, save $5000, good grouping on targets. I reeeally wanted to follow thru on this one.
Cons: Won't see family for 10-20 years
I left broker behind and both alive and drove back another 14 hrs.
