well folks im back and im starting from scratch, so i just ordered a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
and i will need a motherboard to house it, also this will be my first experiance with intel, amd was fun while it lasted so i will give intel a chance.

so to get full potential from the chip, what MB with out the whistles and bells.

    also recommended memory.

I'm using this MB for the same CPU: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 P35 S775 with very satisfactory result.

Might be some wisthles and at least one bell but should be avail to a resonable price now.

the oldest story in the book

my job and handyman business was taking up to much time, and bottom line my wife was thinking i was in love with the simming more than her, so i promise to get more involved wjth her and not my passion.

so i decided to put it on the shelf for awhile , and just spend time with her , and get things done around the house.

our house is fairly new , so i needed to get painting done , deck built, flooring laid, and redew a room for her office while she is in school.

even though im was having a major , inner personal missing of my passion, she one day about a month ago ask me , if i ever was going to get back into simming.

and get this she said she missed me doing what i loved most, and that was the only thing she ever seen me missed so much during a 29 year marriage.

So with her aproval(not that i needed it) and now that i have created a balance in my life.

i now can pursue where i left off, or start over again , with much better ideas on my sim.

i have most of my equiptment , you know a yolk and all of the things that go with it , go flight , etc. except for my computers, and that is where im starting at.

tons of software you name it.

im now taking it off of the shelf and looking for a good plan.

and i cannot think of a better place to start than with you good folks at MCcockpit.

i even painted my room and put in a wooden floor, and prepared the closet to house all of my computers for my sim.

which brings to another question that i must make.

motion or no motion, can i built it , that was the reason for the wooden floor at first.

but i will do some more research and see.

but im glad to be back.

    Robert

Motion?? YES !!! GO FOR IT !! At least one other person has discoverd this so heres a new not-so-secret secret anymore,
Wheelchair motors. They have all the power you will need and are usually free or very low cost when you get them from a wheelchair repair place. They just toss them because of health regs. Can't reuse most of them.
Design your motion platform to handle the weight of your full sim with you and your FO in it. That's where to start. Well.... I guess you need to decide on a plane first...

Oh, and by the way, Nice to meet you Robert.
