Yes that one is also a CTS288 based encoder, it works fine with OC, I have these encoders too.

You are right, although you can use the OC MCP737NG as 767 MCP with my lekseeecon program. All functions all there, but the look is ugly (I have it myself).

You can purchase the CTS 288 encoder from Digi-Key in the US for around $2,50 each. It is part number CT3002-ND.

    CTS288 encoder

    hello dal900....
cts288 (3T7) from OC does have momentary push switch. i have ordered 20 of these for
various applications. i'm using them on my efis units for incremental/decremental control of values and the push switch to select Mins,Ctr,Tfc and Std.
    here's the datasheet
    http://www.ctscorp.com/components/datasheets/288.pdf
if you look at the image on the OC page, there's 5 pins out of the component. 3 for the encoder and two for the push switch.
very nice quality component, i love 'em.......
best regards from wales ..... ian

Yes, Nico. I found that out the hard way. I was testing an Alps encoder and it wouldn't control correctly. It was working but, not the way I need it to work.

I searching the web for answers and advice I found this thread. I went to you site and vcimmino's blog. Good info. I made sure the ones I ordered were 16 detent units.

They have the units with the built in switch in the catalog but were out of them, at the time of my order.
