    Talking Switches?

Hey guys can I use any push on push off button or toggle switch for my sim? Providing they are not illuminated are there any restrictions on what toggle and pushbuttons I can usitise? Momentary switches has me stumped a bit, if I use a momentary switch for say switching the bottom eicas screen (767), will the screen only show a change whilst the button is pressed( hence momentary) and then revert when the button is released? Or will the screen change over when the buttons pressed and you need to press it again to change the screen back? Same again with say a fuel pump etc? Thanks again for you advice

FSUIPC allows you to program any switch for any action (almost)

eg:Momentary switch can have one action when pressed and another one ( or none) when released same for push on push off etc.

    Goto Mouser.com

You can't go wrong, they have all sorts of different slider post.

I would suggest you get Linear Pots.

Really, you should (in my humble opinion) purchase the type of switch that is in place in the real a/c. In other words, if the Master Battery Switches are momentary, then use momentary buttons. If they are alternate, then that type. However with that said, some times we have to use alternate (On/Off) since some interfacing software wont recognize that once it's pressed, it's supposed to stay ON till pressed again (a software function commonly reffered to as 'latching'). Until recently, the FDS SYS software (InterfaceIT) didnt do this and it was very trying at times, considering how good it works with alternate and other types of switches.

    Good luck with it all,

    Just my 2c
Before investing, try a few types, try to progam them, see what works best. or does not.
