    Post New Goodies

It has been a while since I posted anything. Life forces us to do other things now and then.

Here is my new framing for my new sim. Since I have almost zero space, I had to build it into my desk.

Space the final frontier Are the three monitors outside view or for your MIPS? Either way looks slick Add a yoke and you're ready to fly

    Thanks for the update....

The three monitors are for outside view. Eventually I will have a TH2Go running them, but for now, I have MIP on one, GPS and misc switches on one and Outside on the third.

I'm using a joystick for now because I've taken my yoke apart to rebuild it into a much smaller housing. It has TQ built in but I might still mount my CH TQ somewhere.

Once I get more panel built, (I installed my Simkits controller card also today), I'll be removing the onscreen MIP. And the GPS is going to be installed in the MIP under the monitors. I'm working on the circut board for it now. I have all the parts except the dual rotary with button press. I've already ordered it and its on its way. My GPS will be a GNS 500 compatabile and works with FS9 and FSX no problem.

This is likely to be more of a Piper sim since I plan on using a woodgrain to match the desktop for the MIP. No Cessna gray panels anymore.

After I finish all that, I'll be working on the new Weather Radar that goes with the Reality XP guage. Only so many hours in a day though...

    Marnix,
Sorry if it sounded like I do not like Pipers. I actually like low wing better than high wing for most planes. I just can not afford to go out and buy either one though... Care to buy a share in my ... I mean our plane? Of course you realize, it would be based here in Hawaii....
