    Pink Floyd show a success!

After 3 months prep I played my piece Pink Floyd tribute show on 25th of March to 420 enthusiastic fans. The show went really well apart from the death of my laptop during the first half. I couldn't play the intros to Money & Time etc. and we had to wing it without sound effects. I don't think the crowd noticed and the show was very well recieved. The filming and sound recording went reasonably well although the crowd drowned out the music at times. When the editing is finished in about a month I will send you a copy Larry if you email your address to me. I'm really relieved it's all over for now and I can get back to simbuilding again. I'm always a daily visitor to IFSBI and will be more involved soon. DakenSky interview was great, I can see Ken taking some aussie bucks from me soon!

    Regards all,

    Gwyn

    Pink Floyd show a success!

The mongrel laptop worked fine the next day - typical.
Maybe we should have an IFSBI get together sometime down the track, I've always wanted to visit the US someday.
My brother-in-law and his family have just moved to Rock Springs in Wyoming, he works for Halliburton the same company that owns my company who have just awarded us all a welcome pay increase so it might be possible in a couple of years. I'll have to finish the sim first. "Finish", is that really possible? I've just scored a 128mg triple head Matrox Parhelia video card on Ebay for US$160, looking forward to installing that and seeing it work. Next I'm saving for the CPflight MCP, I've chosen this one as the upcoming expansion modules look great. The expansion modules will permit all the warning indicators to work on the MIP, http://www.cpflight.com/sito/prodotti.asp any suggestions welcomed on this choice? CPflight assure me it is fully compatible with PMDG737.

    MIP board

    Hi Gwyn,
The MCP and EFIS work fine with PMDG. The MIP board works exclusively with Project Magenta glass cockpit. So then you only use the PMDG for the airfile etc, all other PMDG panels should be disabled when using it with PM. So if you don't use PM, the MIP expansion board will not work.

Great to see all went well with the concert. Look forward to the DVD.

Very busy with plans for the IFC Denver Convention. Now all the arrangements are made to go. It's a shame you couldn't make that trip since Wyoming is just up the road.

Working on the Blog for IFSBI to incorporate it into the Home page. Looks good so far but a few bugs to work out.

I think there is some interfaces now that can work with PMDG. I see at Engravity www.737cockpit.com there is a way to use their CDU with PMDG
