    Airshow/Airline Moving Map

    G'day All

I am going to start off my ambition of making a 747-400 sim this year. I am sure that i am not going to be able to get the top of a 747-400 for a few years to come but i am getting started on some of the onboard features that i want to include.

One of the things i am trying to do is make a copy of Airshow 400

    http://www.rockwellcollins.com/produ...cs/moving_map/

I was thinking of making it in VisualStudio.Net

Can anyone point me in the right direction for trying to make this..it will run on seperate pc's and i think i will be doing it via FSUIPC and WideFS

I have made most of the base program e.g. The backgrounds and text and the changing of pages but i am lost on how pull the data through fsuipc and display it in the program and the ability to show the map itself with destination departure and flight route..etc

    any help would be great

    Cheers

Once you are comfortable with VB, start reading the SDK for FSUIPC... This will become a very usefull resorce for you as you move into planing and writing your program.
