Smile What's the Best 737NG model for FSX

    Hi there-

In FS2004 I was using the PMDG 737. Since I upgraded to FSX I've been using the stock model which is absolute crap. Can anyone recommend a good 3rd party model which flies better?

    Thanks!
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I'm happily using the PMDG one from FS9 in FSX. There are a few Aircraft.CFG entries you might want to copy over from the FSX 738, but on the whole it is okay.

Sorry, I can't tell you which or what CFG entries to sort out, but if you only want the -700 I can give you mine to look at. Tomorrow or Monday, when I get a chance to wind the cockpit up again!

    Regards

    Pete

    Peter-

That would be great, thank you! Reading the PMDG website I got the impression it would not work at all. Since I don't use any of the panels (since I'm flying a sim), all I'm interested in is the flight model and the PMDG one flies the closest to the real sims I've found.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Email me on petedowson@btconnect.com and I'll reply with my files for the PMDG 737-700 when I next power up my cockpit. It might be tomorrow, else Monday. Meanwhile just try it as you had it in FS9, without panels.

    Regards

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Do the PMDG Open GL instruments display ok in FSX? If so, I would also be interested in your files. I am still on FS9 because of the never ending wait for the PMDG NGX which has been "Coming soon" for about a year now.

Cheers for participating in our forum you FS 'Legend', where would we all be without FSUIPC?!!!

I don't think you can use any of the panel stuff in FSX. I'm only using the flight and visual (external) model, with PM providing the instrumentation.

I've been trying to send you stuff all day, replying to your message asking me to. There's something wrong with your email. Every message to it is getting immediately rejected.
