A Christmas poem for pit builders....

Inspiringly enough, to the tune of "we wish you a merry christmas".

We wish you a merry christmas,
We wish you a project tick list,
We wish you a set of 'phidgets',
    And a Buttkicker chair,

We wish you a shiny Hagstrom,
We hope you don't wire it up wrong,
We hope you don't have to wait long,
    For your FDS bits,

    Good sim bits we bring,
A toggle switch and a copper ring (doesn't fit - poetic licence!),
We wish you a full enclosure,
    And perhaps a real ........wing...!

if you're feeling inspired, please continue with more verses!

To the tune of 'Good King Wenceslas' (traditional).

    Good King Wenceslas looked out....
    At his new Projector,
Spent the cash that was his wife's,
    How it would affect her,

    Picking up his MCP,
    That he doth adore,
    Also grabs his CDU,
    Throws them out the wi-in-dow....

I also have an aviation poem i wrote a while back, not christmas but still a fun read

    COPYRIGHT TO GEREMY .B.

the aircraft struggles to leave the ground,
the noise of the engines is all around.
jet engines stirring up the air, the pilot accelerates without a care
The plane disappears into the night,
without a problem, just a routine flight.

It lands again with a gentle THUD,
the pilot is realy very good.
we taxi to the airport gate,
    the passengers realy cannot wait!
we all queue up to leave the plane,
    we've landed safely once again.

we walk for miles down corridors,
    with beautifully polished marble floors.
we all crown round the baggage carousell,
whose case is whose - it's hard to tell.
how will we find ours it's hard to know.
quite easy as it has a big red bow!

Once we found our family case,
we head for customs, it's like a race!
we remove all metal and put it on a tray,
it is checked by security with a lazer ray.
we scramble for the car like a heard of sheep,
i think i will go for a small snoozy sleep,
    sleeep, sleeeep, sleeeeeeep. zzzzzzz

hope you enjoyed it - pretty cool i think!

Sung to the tune of "Silent night" ...

    Boring night, Boring flight
    Boeing-pilots quake, at the sight
Airbus decks are so vanilla and mild
They could be built by a 10 year old child
    Sleep in fly-by-wire snoo-ooze
A CRJ is what David will next choose

    Merry Christmas !
