    .air file for 737NG

    Hi folks,

I am still on the lookout for a good .air file for the 737NG (any) to use with PM.

I have tried the defaults, PMDG, Kittyhawk and even Project Opensky and just cannot find a 'nice to fly' FDE.

I love my 'pit and it is really coming together but I am missing the 'pleasure' of the hand flying that I used to get from the Level D 767, PMDG 747, DF 727 and the Flight 1 Super 80.

Perhaps the 737s in real life just ain't too nice to hand fly!

My main issue is poor pitch control, especially on Approach. Slow reaction to pitch changes can lead to some real nasty 'porpoising' on approach (too high, correction, too low, correction.....etc).

I know some will just blame my piloting skills ...... but truly, it's not about that.

The Level D 767 feels really 'heavy' but it is also very very responsive and a delight to take down to the tarmac, on approach.

Other add-ons that are as sweet as a nut to hand fly are the Majestic Dash 8, the Flight 1 ATR, and of course, BSWs favourite - the Dreamfleet 727.

With the FDEs that I have tried for the 737, in my PM set-up I just can't get that 'real' feeling on take-off or approach.

Does anyone out there have the magic .air file ?

(Please don't reply and say PMDG 737 !!...)

    PMDG737

...but I've played with the pitch and roll stability, and the aileron and elevator effectiveness values (in the aircraft.cfg) until I was happy with it.

Uhhhh..... yeah. And I use it appropriately in all flight phases but that's not the aspect of the FDE that I'm talking of here.

Nic, I tried this too and was happy for a while (until I flew the LDS 767 again!).

Could you be so kind as to share your 'Flight Tuning' settings from your PMDG737 aircraft.cfg, so I can give them a whirl ?
