    Just a couple more shots...

and I'll leave ya'll alone for a few days.

After the plastic, and then the aluminum laminate, I almost don't want to paint it!

The back is not installed permanantely, but the fit is so tight, both seat back halves are staying in by themselves as a friction fit.

The laminate extends about 3/4" forward of the seat back and the cushion is sitting inside this.

You just can't beat aluminum for a nice finish on parts and equipment.

Thanks guys. It's going a lot better than expected. It's nice to build something for this sim every now and then that doesn't need interfacing, lights, switches, or anything else to enjoy it.

The reel retractor is on the way and I can hardly wait to order the material in a couple of weeks.

I think you are far from finished. I don't see any ejection handles & rockets anywhere . I mean, if you are going to strap yourself in a motionless simulator, then at least you should go for an ejection ride now & then . Of course, it would be a shame to destroy such nice work when the seat comes crashing down when the parachute deploys after the ejection sequence

Contact Nick at APHS for the harness and retractor assembly. Five point lap belts are available too.
