    Military style contol knobs

    Hi all

I would like to build an Apache AH-64D cockpit and I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get the 25 or so military style circular control knobs (grey with a white marker line outlined in black) here in the UK?

It it the ones on the following panels:
    • Comms panel to the right of the pilot - eleven small round and one pointer
    • Windscreen panel - one pointer
    • Up-front display - one small round
    • Left and right MFDs - three small round for each
    • Video panel - one small round and two 2-stage concentric
    • Keyboard - one small round
EHC www.ehcknobs.com do them, part of their RE Series I think (808, 2564 or 8509 for the small round circular knobs) but they need a minimum order of more than I can afford or need...

    Cheers

Cheers Wollo, looks like nobbody else is into Apaches LoL.

Trying to speak to a firm in the UK, no luck as yet. Sent an email to EHC in the States - they said try another distributor.

Ah well "You never fail until you stop!" - I like that motto...

That chaps my hide that distributors and retailers place a minimum on an order. Big deal! It's not like it takes any more effort to pack 5 knobs vs. 250 knobs.

I tend not to place orders with companies that place a minimum on an order. It's as though we're not good enough to order from them because we're not spending a few hundred bucks for their time.

Got an answer back from the UK supplier - the total cost for 51 knobs would be £1175.89!

Well I knew this was an expensive hobby but that is just... Ah well back to the drawing board.

have you checked these guys ?

    http://www.viperflight.nl/viperflight.htm

Its 2 dutch F16 builders that used to sell a complete set of f16 knobs, molded themselves. Im sure you will find the knobs you need in that set and make your own copies from there.

Just drop them a mail for pictures.

What is the UK supplier ?

To be honest, 20 pounds for mill spec knobs is a fair price at that quantity....
would love to see what knobs they offer.

They are not currently selling any knobs - they stopped making them end of January from what I have heard on Viperpit.org...

Damm - gotta keep on looking!
