Laser engraving/cutting recommendations
I would like to have a few very simple panels cut for my cockpit project. Can anyone recommend a good Laser engraving/cutting service in British Columbia. I'm looking for a few simple grey panels with white lettering (no backlighting) and some pre-cut guide holes. I had quickly put together a bmp image to help me explain to a business what I was looking for but it occured to me that there are builders here from BC who may be able to suggest a local company, panel material, thickness etc.

Edit: I was also wondering if there is a certain format I could develop the blueprint for my panels in that most CNC/Laser engravers would be able to read. I figured that if I could simply send a company a file that they could feed into their machine with no design work on there behalf, it might cut the costs down a bit.

Both my machines work on adobe illustrator files (.ai), just make sure that the artwork is closed as the engraving software will need to fill it before engraving, also make sure you have second copy of the artwork with at least one dimension to check against.

If you want a simple inexpensive panel. Print your .bmp's on clear or white name tag material (Avery make this) that has one side sticky, put it on plexi, drill it, and your done. That would be the least expensive at least for prototyping if nothing else seeing you are not backlighting.
