News from The German Bell-209 TAH-1F Cobra sim pit

Hello Helicopter enthusiats`s and cockpit builders.
Long time goes by,and a litte progress was made on my pit.
Due to the oweful wiring as the first step I have made the complete wiring for the panel lights new.
Some new panels have been reworked by laser engraving and it does not look so bad.
So if you ever have lack on an original panel there are often small companies who makes signs for houses and offices a.s.o.
They are mostly using a laser writer and need files in dxf format.
So if you can create your own panel in the requested file format it will be no problem for them to make you every panel you like.

Attached I have added some new pictures.
    Have fun
    Thank you for looking

    Hi Geremy,
    thank you for your reply.
Yes I would like to modify some gauges for FSX unsing several good tutorials and hints found in the net.
Unfortunately I have to destroy some of the indicators to modify. A few of them are cheap so I have purchased a second
one if my modifications failes i.e. VSI or ASI ( both UH-60 parts ). Will start with this.
I will use the famous OC servo card and some small model servos with a gear to try to avoid flipping dials.
But it will take a while to proceed.
    Regards
    Andy

Here are a couple pics of my Cobra ride. It was amazing how little the controls moved. All I can say is, Cobras rule!!! I cannot wait for our sim to be finished. I hope we get to fly some networked cobra flights over Pilotedge

    Hi there,
well I am a little envious on you having a ride in a cobra.
You kow there are only 2 cobras flying in Europe. 1 is the TAH-1F of the RED BULLS in Austria and the second is in Czech Republic near Prague.
But to get a ride is unfortunately nearly impossible.
So is you have interest in changing some informations regarding the Cobra sim please write me:

    Best regards

They are rare over here, but lucky for us there are a few flying for private individuals and I believe some States still use them for fighting forrest fires.

Well NEVER can the sim compare a real flight in the beast.
Great video. The inside sound so deep was new for me. Wish one could adapt this inside sound in the FSX AH-1S cobra.
Unfortunately the only one available for FSX, but the main panel is bad with minimum functions of the system.
Nice to see you again Cody. Tried to come in contact last year Oct by mail !
