G'day all by a newbee
G'day everyone,
My name is Yos living in a small town 60km north of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Indeed, I'm dutch.
As an aviationfreak since i was 14 years of age, long time ago, i start sim flying in 1991 when I was living in Bunbury, Australia with ATP. 2 years later I switched to microsoft and worked all the way up to FSX. Have to admitt I removed fsx and went back to FS9. Reason? PMDG still do not have the B737-900NG in fsx format. Altough they say it's coming soon. But coming soon means???? Right, just like the MD11 that was coming soon and took years. But I also know it's worth to wait as they have excelent, even better, products.
I'm planning to start building a B737-900NG in spring next year. Hopefully sooner but this madness cost a lot. Have been looking around already at many, many websites. So, still looking around and dribbling out of my mouth LOL.
For now, see you all.
Happy landings and take care,
Yos.

Welcome
Welcome to My Cockpit.
My name is Jake, Im currently on my first build a 747 400 sim.
You will find that here is full of very nice and very helpful people with good humour.
You can find out almost anything about anything here as almost everyone knows somthing about somthing.
The 737 is a very popular aircraft for people to base simulators on, so as for parts availablility, you will be swiming in the stuff.
General info on the 737 is on the website and also on the downloads section.
Keep us posted on the build,
all the best.

Thanks Jake, I'm sure you will hear from me, maybe more than you might think LOL, for now it's just looking around, download information, drawings etc. Visit Luchtvaart Hobby Shop, a shop for flightsimulation, close to where I work, Amsterdam Schiphol, EHAM. By the time I start to construct this baby I'll keep everyone up date.
Happy landings and take care, Yos.

Hello Yos,
nice to have another (Dutch) builder here around.
are you planning on building all the panels by yourself?
you can instead of using PMDG have a look at the sim-avionics software for the 737.
success building.
