Re: My first cockpit
Quite impressive, love the way you built that and so portable :) :) :) take it where you want :) Looks fantastic, very nice work!!!!!

Re: My first cockpit
what a clean design! beautiful job!
My only suggestion would be to switch the throttle quadrant to a Cessna style. Desktop aviator makes an affordable one. Great work!

Re: My first cockpit
You've set the standard for a compact sim design.
Your pictures show it is possible to create a realistic sim with limited space. This should encourage more would-be sim hobbyists who are concerned that they have to build a garage-sized project to be effective.

Re: My first cockpit
Thank you all very much for your positive remarks.
Mike, what do you mean by limited space ??? It's about as wide as the real thing aprox 3ft6 :)
The Saitek radio panels are out of proportion, they are 11" wide !! Bendix radio's are only 6" wide.
Matt, I'm building the sim in modules in the workshop of my company, take 'm apart, bring 'm home, dregg 'm up the stairs to have a complete room filled when it is finished :D

Re: My first cockpit
Nice to see how compact and "portable" it can be.

Re: My first cockpit
Very nice and it shows you don't have to use fancy gadgets to have a nice pit.

Re: My first cockpit
Beautiful work!
How do you like the Saitek radio panels? Are they easy to tune?
How did you construct the curved glare shield?

Re: My first cockpit
Like it ! Like it ! Like it !
Your work with wood and use of hardware to a affordable price, I think will inspire a lot of builders.
Hope you will have many good hours in your sim. :D
