Help Needed! Flight Simulator rudder not responding

Hey guys i'm a IT Technician and recelt got hired as a flight simulator technician, i'm very new to flight simulators/aircrafts and need some assistance. The rudders in the flight sim doesn't respond the brand is revolution sim products rudders, using fsuipc and changing the configuration doesn't help. I'm thinking about changing the potentiometer in the rudder but i don't know where or how i start with that, or should there be a device connection problem any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
