key mapping with vrinsight cdu

hi all
i got a butiful cdu from geremy britton at GLB flight products vrinsight cdu1 very happy with it no prob works grate on wilco 737pic and others like flight one atr
but i downloaded a pdf file on key mapping i lended the cdu to a freand that is building a airbus to give it a try and to learn about the fmc /cdu heres the prob
1 it has wilco airbus seires1 and 2 in tis menu we load but the alfabet keys
and the number keys do not work other functions do very nice i tryed key mapping as told in the pdf i asgine all keys with shift+(what i whant to work)
i also go to the configuration of wilco ant set mcdu to work with shift
very time i load my mapping it dose not work i have to use the key board with shift can any one help with this???i have tried every thing
