Superfluous switches

As my overhead is nearing it's completion I'm starting to think about connecting the switches to my interface cards. The Simworld overhead of course has all the switches but do I need to connect them all ?
What I would like to ask the esteemed forum members : which switches do you consider superfluous ? For example : one switch probably suffices to turn on the landing lights ? The ignition switch, does it do anything in the simulator? I'm connecting to Prosim737.
I would be grateful for some input (pun intended), freeing up some space on the overhead and on the interface cards would be very welcome.
