FSD MCP Mach and VS Problems
Hi,
For quite awhile now everything has been working great. A couple of months ago I had a BSD of my FS9 PC so I had to re-build the C drive. This PC also had my MCP software on. But, for some reason I cannot get the c/o button to bring up a MACH number. At cruise FL350 the VNAV has .790 set. I select SPEED and the number 15 pops in the IAS window. I can adjust the speed knob but it does not adjust the .790 on the PFD. When I select c/o the IAS shows 270 as well as the PFD. I turn the speed knob and the PFD speed follows perfectly. I then push the c/o again and it goes back to 15 and the PFD goes to .790 MACH.
Any idea why my c/o button is not seeing the MACH properly or why the PFD MACH number does not adjust with the speed knob?
I have also noticed that in a climb I have 278/.778 set on the climb CDU page but the MACH is never captured. The aircraft maintains 278 knots right into the red at the higher altitudes during climb. I have the same problem when descending, I hit the level change button and the MACH window shows 15. I never had this problem since rebuilding my PC. I have FDS hardware MCP/CDU.
Plus when I select a new altitude my VS goes to +4500 fpm and the aircraft starts climbing even if I selected a lower altitude. The don't have to select VS, it just pops up as soon as I change the altitude window.
OK last weird thingy... I notice in the FSD CDU that the GW comes up wierd. It'll have something like 15.9 (122.3) in the top left LSK. I have to enter 122.3 in the LSK to get the rest of the FMC to program correctly. Usually the smaller number is my fuel load. Why would my fuel load show up there rather than my actual GW I'm not sure.
