Looks like another alternative to PM:D It looks pretty good so far!
Hi guys,
I am soon about to purchase a boeing software suite from one of these vendors. Just out of curiosity, are all the functions of the flightdeck software equivalent to that of PM.
Thanks
Great to see other companies coming out with flight deck software. Its about time that there is some competition with pricing as i find PM a little on the expencive side. really interested in this. any news on the software and or trials would be fantastic.

hi guys.... well it's about time. a real alternative to Project Very Expensive.
looking forward to seeing it all working.....
anybody know when all the functions of the FMC will be up and running.
enjoy tomorrow chaps... regards ... ian
I have purchased from PM in the past but one thing that always put me off from buying the Boeing suite was the price I am glad there is now another software developer. I would be very interested to know if anyone will eventually do a comparitive of Flightdeck Software Ellie Aviation and PM. Thanks for the link.
Hello all,
After several requests to post something, this is my first post here.
First about the software: at this point most of the functionality on the screens is implemented. If something is missing, this will be a small thing, and this will mainly be, because we focus on other more important things first. Everything is programmed according the manuals, and double checked by real pilots. The autopilot is home-made meaning it doesn't use the FS autopilot. This has the main advantage we control everything ourselves. It is working stable in normal circumstances, but could still be a little bit unstable when using it "out of bounds". For example: flying manually, level at 280 knots, setting the IAS to 210 and then enable autopilot in lvl change could cause the aircraft to climb at high vertical speed. These are things we are still working on to improve in the future. The FMC is also missing some functionality, but this concerns mainly "special" pages and functions. This will be our main focus the coming weeks/months to add these functions and to improve what already exists. We can't guarantee it is 100% bug free as we can't enter all possible routes in the world and fly them ;). This will be your job :).
Concerning system logic and hardware support: at this moment we have already some support in place and are working on other hardware implementations. This support will mainly be added to our Flight Deck Core program. It is our goal to implement as much hardware as possible, as soon as we get the correct information from the vendors. I will tomorrow post a list in our forum of what is already supported and what we are working on. The system logic is also part of the Flight Deck Core program. It is already possible to start your engines via our software overhead panel. This program should evolve the next coming months to a full Core program to control all logic in the cockpit (including fwd and aft overhead, radio stack, mip, sounds, ...). All logic is implemented internally, so no hussling around with scripts or whatever. Also note that this software is already included in the suite starting from the pilot license.
And lastly the instructor station: this program is at this stage still very basic. It also has lower priority but should grow out to a full blown instructor station with all necessary functionality in the future.
If you live near Belgium and want to see our software live in action you can always visit Bruges Air College where our software is already in use for almost a year and is also being tested daily.
I would like to conclude with saying that our aim is, and will remain to provide quality software at affordable prices for everyone. Therefore we put the prices low and we provide lifetime updates on the software.
Kind regards,
Bart Devriendt
