You can access it directly in FSUIPC with the correct libraries (which I have not done), but if you use Prosim737, for example, it has PoKey drivers built right in and you can quickly assign and use switches in mere minutes. It is really dependent on your driver software. This really goes for any hardware interface card but overall the Pokeys card is really great for the money.
Also, you can set it up to process analog axis' as direct input or as a joystick emulator too. Other things like matrix keyboard encoder, display driver, etc, are available with it.

There is easy solution for sim interfacing with Pokeys, but you have to use the Ethernet Pokeys version , i order to have free FsSymphony soft support.
Usb Pokeys version is not supported by this soft
