Potmeters
Hello,
I am planning to try and make my own landing gear lever.
As I was reading, I thougt the best way is to make it with one potmeter and connect it to a BU0836X card.
Now my questions:
- Is this a good solution
- Should I use normal potmeter (with radars (tooth-wheels??)) or slide-potmeter?
- There are many kinds of potmeters, which one should I use? (sereo / mono / resistance / lin or log)
Thanks!

Re: Potmeters
Hi,
For a landing gear lever you just need a couple of contact switches like these:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=34835 You can conect these to a BU0386 card.
One for the up and one for when it is down.
Cheers

Re: Potmeters
Thats EXACTLY what I used for mine, I bought them exact actuators, from Maplin.
I have a gear diagram (embedded below) & on my website using theses actuators and LED's.
This is how I made mine:

Builders may do it differently, but it worked a dream for me!
Good bit is that it only cost a few £ to make!
