brakes and parking brake. b737.
Anyone having a battle with their differential brakes and park brake?
Mine dont seem to like each other. After releasing park brake the differential brakes sign is up on screen and i need to tap on both my foot brakes to get the sign off. other funny stuff happens too.
I am aware that the differential brakes do release the park brake solenoid on the actual aircraft. All my brakes are configured with fsuipc-All flightsim brake assignments have been deleted.
Some aircraft do, some don't.
The Twin Otter that used to transport us to work every week had this style of release. To set the parking brake the pilot would press both differential brakes and twist the handle to lock, and just the opposite to release, with a noticeable "pop." In the Piper Navajo that we now fly, I beleive it is that way as well, but have not seen the pilot use the parking brake yet. I flew a PA-12 from the front seat on Friday, it did not have a parking brake, but did have a spruce branch caught in the landing gear stut from my instructors impromptu low-altitude, low-speed tree topping demonstration, took everything I had not to pull up as the tree was getting bigger, brings a new definition to the term "Alaskan Bush Flying." One takeoff, three landings (bounces), not bad for a windy day and a noob on the stick.
