New to flight simulation

Hello,

I've been involved in manufacturing since 1978 (long time). I'm a CNC programmer / Aerospace Machinist making parts for rocket that launch payloads into space.

I recently became interested in flight simulators / motion platforms and have decided to try my hand at building a simulator from scratch. I would like to build a 3 DOF platform. I have all the material and CNC Machinery that I'll ever need. I can design and program my own parts as well as machine them. The only weak link I have is electronics, motors, controllers etc. When It comes to Arduino my Son can program the scripts. He is fluent in Javascript.

I have purchased X-Plane 10 and Microsoft Flight Simulator along with Saitek X52 PRO so I'm ready to have some fun.
