No where left to look for a MD80 part!
Hi, everyone! :) I recently ordered a MD80 panel and glareshield from the Airline Pilot's Historical Socity, And for a few weeks I've been on the web tracking to see if I can find a MD80 Fire panel! I have not seen one for sale, or any mention of it on the internet. Wondering if anyone knows where to get one, or build one from scratch. Thanks! I included what it looks like in the attachments.

Few more pics:
Fire panel was designed with complete push/pull mechanism, lighted up handles and switches inside. All is working in two cockpits in Italy.

Thanks skalarki.., looks great! Anyway I could buy this from you, I also need the top of the panel that goes with the fire panel.. Anyway you could custom build it for me? They could just be dummy gauges ( fire panel ) thanks!
Re: No where left to look for a MD80 part!
Donīt forget that the fire levers are mechanically linked to the crossbleed levers on aft pedestall! They work like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PozFL1FkZhY (when you pull the fire lever, the crossbleed closes).
If you are looking for parts you can ask also at http://www.md80project.dk/portal/ which is a great resource for us, DC9/MD80 builders :)

Re: No where left to look for a MD80 part!
Hello, I was reading your posts and very helpful. Ive been flight sim'n for about 15 years, now I'm taking the hobby to the next level to do a home build. My favorite aircraft is the DC-9/MD-80 platform and that's what I want to build. Im starting with the overhead panel with levels of plexiglass and switches and have Bodnar BU0836X board on order. I love the work you've done and any help or tips for rookie hobbyist would be great. Thanks
