Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Looks great Ben.............but how did you get the interface to work ???
It will be one of the great projects when you get it all up and running.

Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Interfacing is not complete. 28V is all you need to get the LCD to become alive. Talking to flight simulator will be another story!
I can confirm the FCU has white digits, however this can change and tint when the LCD backlight display is on.

That's a nice looking unit. If it uses ARINC 429, it should be totally doable to interface.

Hi
How do you have realized the backlight control?

Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Backlight is being controlled by the FDS distribution boards, however I am having trouble using genuine airbus pots with the board as they are rated at 470 ohms. Right now they are directly plugged into 5v. The FDS backlight boards use 50k pots. Anyone have a solution?
Regards.
Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Hi, well why don't you just use the 50k pot instead of the original 470 ohm pot, it's just a pot ;). You can modify (grind off) the pot shaft into a D shape so the genuine knob will fit. Just a thought.
Cheers,
Simon
Re: Real Throttle and Pedestal conversion project
Don't have the necessary tools to grind metal from a small pot; I've been looking for plastic ones, or perhaps this?

Good news - Christoph (Cockpit Concept) has completed the FCU ARINC429 interface and it is also now working with FMGS and in production. https://www.facebook.com/CockpitConc...MELINE&fref=nf
