That is something MSFS does not simulate!

Maybe not MSFS, but I'm sure some wives would be very tempted to duplicate that if they ever found out the true costs of our 'contraptions' .

Well, of course not . MSFS is now around 80 bucks or so for the Deluxe FSX version. Please, don't insult your wife's intelligence...she could someday walk into Walmart & take a peek at the PC 'games' shelf & uncover your deception. So, play it safe and just say around 99 bucks.

Michael, I flew the 727 as a pax more hours than I care to admit in the 90's, and have many fond memories - I gained my first Iberia Frequent Flyers Platinum card between Madrid and Barcelona . sometimes 4 times per week.

At that time, it was free seating, so the tactics began in the queue, and at 6'2" I always aimed at the emergency exits.

Ideally, those at the rear, but next best, over the wings.

One flight from Madrid to BCN I am seated in the window seat A of the first row of the over wing exit, with a colleague who suffers from "flight phobia" in seat B.

As the pilot taxied to the runway, the summer sun was on our left, and on lining up, was thru the left windows.
At this stage, many people lowered the blinds, but the guy two rows back opened the emerg exit by mistake, The engine noise rose by 200%, and several crew members seated nearby came to investigate . meanwhile, the A/C continued its take off roll.
As we lifted off, the noise was much louder than normal, but quietened down, as you would imagine, as we gained altitude.
My buddy was almost manic at this stage, but I managed to calm him down by saying that if the window fell out, it would do so as we landed, so not to worry,

But all all ended well.

More to add in the 727 tales page of my site, like the day the landing was so hard all the EMERG/EXIT signs fell off the roof and had t be dodged by exiting passengers, as they hung from the ceiling?
