Do you get an error message when it shuts down? you could try deleting your FSX.cfg file, FSX will generate a new one on startup? This will sometimes fix odd issues.

Deleted fsx.cfg file. Problem remains. No error messages.

    Re: FSX Shuts down automatically

I've had this problem with FS9 and it only happened at my home airport. It turned out to be a dodgy AFCAD file, something to do with the add-on scenery I was using for that airport, so I deleted it and re-installed it. Problem solved.

Edit: It was just the scenery I deleted, not FS.

    Re: FSX Shuts down automatically

Sean's right a bad AFCAD file could cause this. Like Sean mentions if you have recently installed any scenery try removing it from the scenery library and see if FSX will startup. If you have tons of scenery installed you can remove 1/2 from the library, if FSX starts then the problem lies with the other half of the scenery files. Keep splitting the groups in half until you find the offending scenery.

    Re: FSX Shuts down automatically

Thanks for your help guys. It seems to be a problem with FSUIPC. When i startup FSX i'm asked if it may launch FSUIPC, if i confirm, the problem occurs. I'll try to reinstall FSUIPC.

    Regards,

    Marc.
