    NEWS PRODUCT - New option to control your LEDS and 7 Segment displays by Marc Gyöngyösi

    We would like to present you an article from Marc Gyöngyösi (http://x737cockpit.blogspot.com), who is also a homecockpit builder. He shares with us an option for controlling LEDs and 7 Segment displays. This is what Marc had to say .."When controlling LEDs and 7 Segment Displays there are various options, which are usually very expensive and most of the time you are limited to a certain number of LEDs or 7 Segment Displays. ARCOM changes everything.

    The whole system is based on ARDUINO, a micro controller which can be obtained very cheaply from eBay or other distributors. (costs around 20-30$) This ARDUINO has about 13 or more pins (depending on the model) and can drive ICs which is the key to ARCOM's greatness. "

    "extended joystick controller” for our “Simulators”

    Last week I have been testing this USB device that can be used as a joystick controller or a full featured USB interface card. It’s a special type of controller that is fully and easy configurable and it makes this device perfectly suitable for connecting different types of hardware. By that I mean, every port can be set as digital input/output or encoder, 5 ports are reserved for analog input or digital in/out. 1 port is reserved for analog out. In addition it also supports 6 high-speed fully configurable PWM (pulse width modulation) outputs. Users can freely set PWM period and PWM duties. The PWM module runs at 12 MHz and allows high-speed switching. Last but not the least interesting is the price setting, you only pay around 1 euro / port, isn’t that great news? What more could we desire than an interface card where we decide what the card should be used for? Shall it be inputs/outputs/analog in or analog out or a mixture of everything, it’s all in your hands!

    Nico released version 8.1 of Lekseecon , with some minor improvements:

    • Bug in closing the lekseecon window, if Flight Simulator is not running, fixed;
    • Lekseecon will first connect to the Level-D SDK and then to SIOC (reverse from what it did sofar). If connecting to the SDK is not successful an error message (#25) will occur. You have to run MS Flight Simulator with a Level-D 767 flight first, followed by SIOC, before you can start lekseecon;
    • More information added to the main window of lekseecon;
    • Removed the Error Pop Up windows; error messages will now show in the footer part of the main window.
    • Error messages renumbered more logically;
    Get it here.
