The Aerosim Solutions Boeing 777 throttle quadrant is now complete. This is the first TQ I have made where every piece has been manufactured on the CNC machine and lathe so it is now on the available product list with pricing at www.aerosimsolutions.com.au. It is built from aluminium, Trovidur PVC and acrylics with quality components throughout, the machine weighs in at a hefty 10 kilograms. The unit contains the Aerosim generic throttle base and flap lever with gear driven potentiometers and adjustable friction. The speedbrake also has gear driven potentiometer. The flap lever has to be lifted with a realistic spring loaded detent mechanism. The alternate trim levers are spring loaded to the centre and quad switches ensure it operates as per the real TQ. The fuel valve switches are the locking toggle type and all electrics are pre wired for any interface card. This unit is not motorised but the generic throttle base has provision for stepper motor drives. A very happy 'Kennair' will be collecting the first B777 TQ early next week with a big smile on his face I expect!
