This page's objective is to inform Mycockpit members about the possiblity to become a Friend of Mycockpit.

Why whould you want to be a Friend of Mycockpit? Several members have expressed to be pleased that Mycockpit exists as a valuable resouce and meetingplace for cockpit builders. They also are supportive of the work that the small team of people put into making this site what it is today and in the future. This is why we have created the Friends of Mycockpit enhanced membership programme. In fact you will donate to the website.

Keeping this site with all its modules running and in good shape is a costly project. Hosting, support, and traffic combined with high perfomance do not come cheap these days. This site runs on a dedicated server, which needs to be replaced once every three years. By being our Friend you can support the continuous availability and improvement of this wonderful website.

Being a Friend of Mycockpit will start at a rate of US$ 5 per month. In return we offer a 100MB personal hosting space (shared on our server) with a bandwidth of 1 GB per month and a FTP account for showing off your wonderful cockpit project, and one email address with mycockpit.org suffix. If you add your own domain name (not included in the donation-fee) you can even add email addresses with the domainname you registered and you will have full website capabilities. For those of you who want more space there are extended options.

In any case you will be granted the special rank Friend of Mycockpit to your profile and posts, so all can see you are a true supporter  .

Once you decide to become a Friend, we need your information to be as complete as possible. Mention your forum name so we can add the special rank Friend of Mycockpit to your profile (and all your posts)

If this post has motivated you to become a Friend of Mycockpit please contact Matt Olieman at hosting@mycockpit.org or post your questions at the section for our Friends of Mycockpit http://mycockpit.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=135

Thank you,
