Hello all,

I am just starting out on the whole cockpit building thing, and I am looking to construct a small throttle quadrant, with a few added options (light switches, trim wheel etc) mainly as a learning experience to see if I can handle this before I jump in. I am still trying to figure out what I will use for the interface cards, but I like what I see with phidgets, and pending something major, will end up using them.

I donwloaded FS2Phidgets to get an idea of the programming interface before I shell out $150+ on hardware, but am having a slight problem. It installed fine, but when it starts up, I get

"runtime error 429; ActiveX component can't create object"

Is this because I do not have any Phidget cards connected to the system, or could this be something else? If you click through the error message, FS2Phidgets appears to load ok, but with everything disabled (as I expected, with no cards attached :) )

Is this something I can safely ignore, or am I going to have to sort this out before I get to using Phidget cards?

Thanks,
-Chris

lmfao, I figured it out. I had not installed phidget.msi (I didn't realize it was needed for FS2Phidget to run)

*headdesk*
