Hi everyone,
Since I installed the newest version for my LED dimming ....my LE FLAPS EXT which has been assigned to FLAPS HANDLE and worked great before..now flashes and I cant stop it .Except fpr inverting but that kills it all together i. :confused:
Anyone else having this problem and what can I do?
Evrything seems normal in the PHIDGETFSUPIC.INI for FLAPS_HANDLE.
Never touched it,Verified offsets in FSUPIC.DOC .
PHI VALUE in the PHIDGETS software is flashing "10" from the digit "100"
Restarted FS/ WIDECLIENT./ PHIDGETS thinking one of these might be causing it.
Still doing it..Hmmm.possible bug issue..I dont know.
Installation issue mabe? Installed without issues..

Kind regards
James

Alan,
I am back at it again tonight and trying the process of elemination on this problem since the upgraded software.
I reassigned a different LED on the board and assigned it to FLAPS
-HANDLE and that lamp also did the same of flashing very quickly,I choose invert and the lamp stops flashing and stays lit and then when I go back to uncheck invert it flashes again.

[FLAPS_HANDLE]
Offset=0BDC
Length=4
FSType=Flaps
I even tried adding the HiValues and LoValues and that didnt work.

Regards
James

PHivalue is stuck on 100 and that number flashes also.
Reinstalled the Phidget program again but no luck.
I checked all my wiring and that is good.(NOSE GEAR ISSUE I RESOLVED)

Ok. :D
I resolved the flaps issue by reassigning to another setting etc.. LEFT FLAPS DEFLECTION and that enabled me to calibrate and the flashing stopped.
Their still is an issue with the FLAPS HANDLE though...Like I said I tried another LED and it still did it. (flashing)
Also I got the GLIDESLOPE P/INHIBIT to work using what you gave me for info and it worked this time.I did some reading in the FSUIPC.DOC and it said you have to place any kind of addin info at the end????
Whatever it was it worked this time.I placed as the last entry and I did not get any errors this time and it allowed me also to calibrate with no problems.

You have to excuse me on these little issues...I'm not really up on the FSUPIC language and never really understood it up untill now.Still learning ..but I can see
it opens up many different avenues in Flightsiming..especially when interfacing.
Kind regards
James

Can you look into this "flashing" issue and let me know?

Thanks for bringing flashing to my attention.
Flashing is definately a bug.
Let me look at that.

James,

You will notice in FS2PhUIPC.ini file that FLAPS_HANDLE has fstype of Flaps.
This is intended for analog input for setting flaps.
Very special case because of the way MS-FS handles flaps settings.

Must admit, when I added dimness fuctionality I did not test for fstype=flaps.
Did not think anybody would ever assign this offset to digital output. :)

Here's a possible workaround:
Create following entry.

[FLAPS_HANDLE_POS]
Offset=0BDC
Length=4
FSType=Proportional
LoValue=0
HiValue=16383

Assign above and let's see how that works.

since i installed the new ver 2.1.1
Ramair and cowlvalve2 starts flashing when i start up fs2phidgets

The offsets i use are

[Ramair]
offset=5681
length=1
fstype=proportional
lovalue=0
hivalue=16383

[cowlvalve2]
offset=5659
length=1
fstype=proportional
lovalue=0
hivalue=16383

Whit these value the annunciators are flashing.

These annunciators are on a 64 led board

I have the same value for cowl valve 1 but this annunciator is on a output of an 16/16/0 i/o board.

the cowl valve 1 is working correctly how is this possible???

Martjin,

Can you cut and paste entries from PhidgetLED9999.ini file for outputs associated with ramair or cowflap2 ?
This will help me out.

Thanks,
Alan.

here are the entries

[Output 19]
FSID=RamAir
Enabled=True
Invert=False
SMin=0
SMax=0
Dimness=100
Brightness=100
DMin=1
DMax=1
PositiveRate=False
NegativeRate=False
RateThreshold=1

[Output 24]
FSID=CowlValve2
Enabled=True
Invert=False
SMin=0
SMax=0
Dimness=100
Brightness=100
DMin=1
DMax=1
PositiveRate=False
NegativeRate=False
RateThreshold=1

i've have attached a attachment of my .ini file i didn't no if you only needed the ramair and the cowlvalve or al of them.

I hope that i've have helped you so far, so you can solve the problem.

If there is any question you can also email me at mca.schoot@planet.nl

Thanks for so far ,

Martjin,

Do not think problem is bug.

Think we got lucky!
Earlier version worked, but for wrong reasons.

Where did you get values for settings for Ramair and Cowlflap2 ?

Those are Pmsystems offsets.
Their documentation does not specify values.
You need to go into development mode to determine values.
Go into development mode fro pmSystems menu.
In development mode, if you hover or click cursor on a light or switch
the offset and value is displayed.

A light that is On or Off will not have a range of values from 0 to 16383.

Settings should be:

[Ramair]
Offset=5681
Length=1
FStype=Digital
OffValue=0
OnValue=1

[cowlvalve2]
Offset=5659
Length=1
FStype=Digital
OffValue=0
OnValue=1

Let me know if this works!

New version will make it much easier to adjust settings.

Veels geluk,
Alan.

Hey Alan,
I have been away a bit,,and here is what I used to resolve the flashing light issue.
I used this:
[LEFT_FLAPS_DEFLECTION]
Offset=0BE0
Length=4
FSType=Proportional
LoValue=0
HiValue=16383

Works fine now.
Originally I am using a GOFLIGHT module for my flaps.I never intended to try to use the digital in for this issue.I just wanted the LED to respond when the flaps were set using the GOFLIGHT.
As of right now my LEFLAPS TRANSIT lights first up until it reaches FLAPS 10 and then exstinguishes and FLAPS EXT lights and stays on .Then the whole process is reversed when retracting all flaps.
Its pretty cool to see..!

Im still working on this fuel light issue..(I am relentless when it comes to these things)
:cool:
