Wow!
I saw a post in another forum I use and this guy in Italy offered a package of Simkits and Phidgets for FREE! I was the lucky one to get them and now its time to take my MIP off and redesign it again!

In the package I got;

SIMKITS
Attitude Indicator
Airspeed Indicator
VS Indicator
VOR
HDG with bug
Altitude
(3) dual needle engine indicators
CCU2 controller board with power supply

PHIDGETS
LED with 8/8/8
(2) 4 motor Servo controllers
InterfaceKit 8/8/8

MISC
Switches, flaps switch, (3) rotary encoders, misc green LEDs, 2 USB hubs, cables.

I'm in sim heaven!
And I credit God with me getting all this for free because on my own I would never have swung a sweet deal like this!
And I thank Roberto in Italy for his generosity!

Hey Andy... Congrats on your score! Sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time. And redesign is the name of the sim game... Seems I am always redesigning something in the sim. Look sofrward to your new pics!!

 what on earth happened to that guy to just...give away all those things for nothing?

Anyway, congratulations - have fun! ;)

in case anyone here feels magnanimous, I would like a free yoke...even the oldest gameport type is good, as long as it works :) Any and all the levers can be broken, I'm building those on my own , panel integrated, nut it would be ncie to have a yoke for GA flying...
would pay for shipping of course.

To answer your question, here is a quote from the post when he offered the parts.

"For everyone who may be interested:
I built a small cockpit panel with Simkit instruments and other hardware.
I do not use it since a while because I have no time for it, so rather than trashing everything I would give it for free to to first one that will ask for it."

I was blessed to be the one to get this great package!

Wow, Thats fantastic. I am a firm believer in "if you can't use it and someone else can get good use out of it give it to them." We all consider things we have bought money well spent. Who knows, maybe the guy is independantly wealthy and just has money to spend.

Either way, Great score, and I hope it all works out for you.

Indeed, that is great... oh it'd be great if sometimes some other people would also think a bit like that ;)

Happy (re)designing! :D
