Many thanks!

Hello Davide,

I am sorry I just found this thread!!

I didn't know FDS made that panel, I will need to have a look at it...
It's just 2 7seg displays (with 3 digits each)?

I might need to get some help from you to interface that panel. Does it have it's own USB plug?

Yes they do it... it's an usb interface with and as you said with 3 7seg displays plus a led on top right of the pcb to illuminate the V (volts)letter, if you need anything else just ask i will test the driver, many thanks.

Hi

please downlaod: http://www.jeehell.org/IIT_Test.exe
and put it in you hardware modules folder.
After running it, you should see a list of all interfaceIT boards you have in the top left box (i.e. one per USB cable).
Identify the one which is your battery panel's, and click on it.
In the box to the right, you should see text like

type: 4108 Name:IIT_DEVDate: 15/12/09
SW:
-Count: 12
-First: 1
-Last: 12
LED:
-Count: 6
-First: 49
-Last: 54
DataLine:
-Count: 1
-First: 15
-Last: 15
7Seg:
-Count: 6
-First: 1
-Last: 6

The important part is in bold characters.
In the controls below the lists, in the 7 segments window: enter the value of "7seg first" (in the example above, 1).
Then enter some text (like 12.3) and click on send character.

I need to know:
what is the first character for the battery one, and for the battery 2.

Then, you need to do the same things for the LEDS. It's easier, because each LED is individual, so from first LED to Last LED, I need to know what function they have...

I also need to know the board type, board name, and the board ID (easier to post a screenshot of the application...).

Did some tests, here it is:

Batt 1 correctly show 12.3 with those settings:

http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12404&stc=1

Battery 2 start at 5 it shows 45.6 correctly:
http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12405&stc=1

Led's are to illuminate the V (volt character) under a plexi panel, so for batt 1 the first and only led is number 25 and for Batt 2 it's 57

Hope is enough many thanks!

I mean the board should appear in IIT creator just like if it were one of FDS I/O boards?

Ok I see. Using the same test app I sent you for the batt panel, do some screenshots, and try to play with the dataline option.

Yes it appear on ITTcreator and i fully interfaced it i have had to assign the backlight of every leds to API power on is it right?
The other function works well, so now would it best to make a pnp module? i think less trouble and quick interfacing is better, if it's ok i will proceed with itttest

Hi

Just so I know, you could make all the backlight LEDs work using your current setup?
We do speak of the keys label (the lower part, not the upper part of the button which is ON only when selected etc?)

If so I can make that profile a default one, but I will work on that later (since you have something working for now).

Yes, leds works for keys label. Also the upper part work correctly with this profile.
