It looks like there are a few switches on the Airbus which require you to push in the switch before you can turn --

The 3 IR (1+2+3) switches.
? The engine mode selector switch - Crank, Normal, ignition start.

Is there a vendor/retailer which supplies and sells these kind of switches?

Thank you.

Hi Ben,

As far as I know there are no "push to unlock" turn switches on A320. Actually there are "pull to unlock" somewhat similar to the parking brake. As far as I know such switches are 3 IR switches as you mentioned and even these only at ATT mode. You have to pull to change from NAV to ATT position.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for the correction -- yes you are correct, they are pull out and turn switches.

Is the eng IGN start switch also a pull and turn?

We are on the lookout for spring loaded pull out and turn switches if you know where to find them.

Thank you.

hi Buzz, the ignition switch, not the engine starter. Thanks.

Hi Ben,

The ENG selector mode switch is normal rotary "click" switch, but it is quite stiff to turn from normal mode to crank or ign/start modes.
