Hello

I recently decided to start building a Cessna Citation Mustang.
To give some insight on my project I also created a website.

https://sites.google.com/site/cessnacitationmustangsim/panel-design

At this moment I'm still drawing and planning. Hope to start building soon!

Regards,

Nice =)
Mustang is in my to do list too. I was lucky enough to obtain some authentic Mustang selector knobs.

Good luck on your project!!

I've spotted them on your site. Very nice work!
If you could provide me with some measurements of the knob you would make me very happy :D

Thanks

Here is a pic of knobs I have cloned, I am yet to engrave the lines on the knobs. The base diameter is around 20-22mm height is about 20mm I'll double check when I get in the shop.

Very nice idea a Citation pit.

How are your plans to interface to FSX? Do you use the feelthere/Wilco one?

Thanks and good luck
Peter

Whoopee!!!
Better pics of the real knobs.

First I thought you meant the G1000 knob, also a beauty!

I thought they used the Korry BP258 (http://www.esterline.com/controlsystems/KORRY/CockpitControls/Knobs.aspx) but now it seems that this is not the case
The front and back of the grip don't protrude over the bottom disc as I can see from your pics.
I have to make some slight modifications to my design.
Nice, nice, nice :)

Here's a pic of my completely wrong design. ;)
Getting close...

Hi Peter,

My plans are to use the opencockpit cards for the interface.
About the software I'm still a bit unsure. I read that Mindstar has an excellent G1000 and Flight1 has done an great job on the modelling of the Mustang. Maybe some of you can shed a light here...

Basic Switch Panel Design is done. :D
Minor changes might have to be made for electronic component placement, etc.
Here's a peek preview. ;)

Added some decal to make it look a bit more appealing.
Now I have to order some electronics so I can finish some details.
In the mean time I'll start working on detailing the G1000 panels.
