Hi

im planning on using opencockpits servos cards and stepper cards to convert a set of insruments for my Bae Hawk simpit.
i have a ASI a Altimeter and an Artificial Horrizon just now, all square 80mm faces and about 200mm long but cant see any way to open then up, no screws are visible on the face plate or the rear. without reverting to using an angle grinder or saw how do i open then up to expose the workings so i can convert them.

i knew i would hit a few problems in the conversions but not fall at the first hurdle of not being able to open them.

Hi Dave,
There is a circlip arrangement between the glass and the case. Look for a wee gap in this clip, prise it up,take the glass out and the gauge will slide out.
This clip maybe hard to see, but its there.
Hope this .

thanks for reply but unfortunatly none of them have circlips in the glass

they are aluminum cube shaped cases not the older bakelite round type that would have a circilp and rubber o ring .

still lookig for a way in
