Hi Leonidas,
I do not understand how you tested the software? The only thing which changed is WideFMGS, on a single computer it can only work just as it before?

Thank you Jeeheel, Anyway your informations are very helpfull for my understanding of the different parts of that Simulation.
Reroute mean due to an emergency change the arrival to an other Destination. so if i do that some strage things might be happen with the MCDU (FMGC)
I found two other things:
-The oil amount is not messure in %, its in quarts (qts)
- Flying to an waypoint is displayed on the ND. When overfly it should goes quickly to the next waypoint, stored in the Flightplan.
-It happens sometimes, that in approach phase and approach mode the Loc is acquired but the glide will not acquired. Check for example LTCE. Database error or reroute MCDU error?

Hi,
@Daniele: I've tested your sound set, and I must say it is very nice! the sounds are really clean, no outside interference at all, congrats!
@Chris:
- Oil quantity in quarts: I know that, but FS provides only % as measure and I do not know the real quantities used in the A32X family...
- The ND should show the right WPT without issue at all? is your ND on a remote computer? If so did you try the last update? it might solve that.
- I cannot test every single airport/ILS. Do you have a glide signal on the PFD/ND? if so, the AP should capture the G/P.
Cheersn

No JL, no like before. Let me explain again
B28.3: Perfect!
1st update: I could start it with problems
2nd update: I could not start batteries, or press any other button on MCDU to begin a flight.

Hi Jeehell,
-Oil quantity for a
CFM 56 engine: normal 110 to 130 qts the indication have a 0 one left and 20 on right (for 200)-Yes ND is on remote.. its a minor bug..(on the first view you just read the 100 and think omg engine going dead because less than 110)
- Today on rwy, everything as usual and again no managed mode possibile to switch....the hardware is OK, means i can see the output and the a reaction on PFD (HDG, ALT..) Happend very often.
- Also when i reroute i think the FMGC doesn't accept the new airport really, although its indicate the new Airport letter code. But on PDF i still see the original destination RWY. Then the MCDU make strange things sometimes.
- PFD show me not the ILS bars, The freq are set, course are set, (MCDU show me the right freq, course ), but no path and LOC marker is visibile. i only get LOC Mode in the PFD and the plane make the turn for establishing.
- What i also observe is that a reconnection on PFD, ND, SD, EWD, MCDU... never works, means when i need to reset the Server and start again i need also start all other modules as well again although they was only a short time connected...

Hello to everyboby,
@ Daniele: I also did a short test with your donated soundset. Thank you very much. I can't imagine you done all that within one day! I like it. 2 things:
1. - I am not 100% sure but I think I noticed some interference for the engine sounds. but I love your spool up sound during take off run! Really nice! some more tweaking and it will be really nice!
2. - I can't hear any difference between APU on and off in the cockpit? I also can't see a file for APU start and shutdown...
In addition, is there a way to trigger the start or shutdown of the avionic fans? The fans are always running even everything is off. But very nice! I will look forward to your next update :)
@ Chris: in case I remember correctly: you have access to the real bus quite frequently? would it be possible to take a short video of the lower ECAM with the wheel page during landing phase when using the auto brake feature? So I could see the temperature rising due to auto brake? maybe some different landings with different ambient temps and landing mass?
by the way: is the auto brake power depending on the aircraft weight? I would like to think of a simple temperature model for the wheels but I cant find any videos were somebody shows the Wheel page during landing. All are either focused on PFD or the runway :) Maybe you can provide some shoots???
@ JL: I know you are busy with all these tiny things... I have to mentioned that I wanted to try the latest version the upcoming weekend. I will keep you in the loop with my findings :).
However, I tried to re-ajust some ILS data in the earth_nav. WOW... that seems to be really complicated. I only touched the LOC. After many many many many tries I found a pretty good runway angle and the corresponding vector position, so it is centered all the way down the runway.
If I now fly manually both magenta squares are fine. However, the AC does not follow this modified ILS? The AC either seems to fly parallel to the GS or the LOC. but mostly parallel to the LOC.
The runway angles are precisely indentical. Im sure you have some more experience with the ILS. Any idea? I assumed that both (LOC and GS) need the same runway angle AND the LOC vector point needs to be on Centerline + the origin point of the GS need to be at the touchdown zone but can differ in lateral direction... I am confused about the try and error idea. Is there an official way to ajust the earth_nav to any scenery? some help? Thanks, JL!
Its a really great software.
Guys, have a nice weekend!

FYI ...have the same results as Leonidas. Connection ports are open and exist on both machines, client and server. No switches can be operated. After hours i found out: FSUIPCConnect needs to be started manually on server side. Also WideFMGSServer manual start after killing in task manager. Exactly the same necessary with client. Simply a batch problem of the starter. Is there any configuration possible (file) or is this hard coded?

Now without changing anything it works, but without EWD and SD as I wrote in #241 just after the first live update of B28.3. On that client a message says: "Windows socket error: An attempt was made to perform an operation on element that is not a socket 10038, on API 'getpeername'"

Hi AirFan,
Let me see if someone that i know is on the jumpseat and able to make the video for you.. (during Landing and Takeoff we shoud have the attention for the plane)
Company procedure is to display the engine page during landing (Go around) but shortly before we completly stop i can switch to wheel page.
The sensors are have a quick response and i observed already temperaturs of 400+ degrees.
Yes it should be depends on weight but i dont realized it really, rather on Auto brake setting.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply. Thanks for you offer but I assume it would be way better to really see the temps of the wheels from the point of touchdown. I am not only interested in absolute values but the gradient of the temperatures corresponding to time. So your video could provide some information about the cooling down phase.
I will also try to get a video of the Wheel page from a full flight sim and then try to think of a pausible, good matching equation.
Regards from Ingolstadt.

Hi all,
Lot of activity on the thread, I hope I haven't forgot anyone...
@Chris:
-Thanks for the info on the Oil system, I really wonder why I could not find it in the FCOM?? Only reference I could find:
"The indication pulses when oil quantity goes below three (3) quarts (decreasing) or above five (5) quarts (increasing)." ....
-Concerning managed modes: on the ground, they should always be available. What THR LVR setting do you use for takeoff, TOGA or FLX? Anyway, do you get a white box MAN TOGA or MAN FLX on the FMA? if not (can happen if hardware THR LVR are not calibrated correctly), the TakeOff mode doesn't engage and you stay stuck in preflight phase...
-Reroute: do you divert from FPLN LAT revision pages?
-ILS bars: maybe related to your managed mode issues, I need to check that.
@Rob: if the PFD shows the correct path, the AP should follow that path, and you don't have anything else to change. There can be a small offset, usually when you're still far from the RWY(but it gets corrected rather quickly) OR if you intercept really close to the RWY and it does not have time to correct.
@Rob+Chris:indeed I'm interested in real data for brakes temps... (and any other systems that are not really detailed in the FCOM...)
@Guenther: interesting, I'll look at that !
@Leonidas: so for now everything works but on the EWD/SD computer?? did you try to manually close/re-launch WideFMGS on that computer (while it still runs on the server)?
Cheers,
JL

Hi JL,
as for the oil indication, I digged a bit in the AMM and I could find following information, maybe they are of help for you:
Normal oil consumption rate
During a normal engine operation, the normal oil consumption rate is
not expected to exceed 0.15 USgal.h (0.57 l.h) (approximately 0.6
quart.hr) (see note). This provides a minimum engine autonomy of
almost 17 hours.
(2) Maximum oil consumption rate
The maximum oil consumption rate during engine operation is limited
to 0.40 USgal.h (1.51 l.h) (approximately 1.6 quarts.hr) (see note):
This provides a minimum engine autonomy of 6 hours.
Oil Quantity Indication
There are two possible indications:
- One visual indication, given by the oil level sight gage on the tank.
- One remote indication, given by the oil quantity transmitter (installed
on the oil tank) which sends an electrical signal of the oil quantity
to the ECAM system via the EIU. The indicating range is up to 5.50
USgal (20.81 l).
INDICATING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1 . General
(Ref. Fig. 001, 002, 003, 004)
Oil system monitoring is performed by means of :
- indications :
oil quantity (quarts)
oil temperature (degree celsius)
oil pressure (PSI)
oil filter clogging (OIL FILTER CLOG).
These indications are displayed on the lower display unit of the ECAM system
(main instrument panel) except the Master Chip Detector that gives a pop out
information through its indicator in the fan compartment
Transmitter specification :
Output voltage : 1VDC to 9VDC varying linearly with true oil quantity
from 0 to 5.45 USgal (0 - 20.62 l)
Scale :
The oil quantity displayed in green on the display unit of the ECAM
system is graduated :
from 0 to 5.50 USgal (0 - 20.81 l)
- Advisory level
The oil quantity flashes green when the oil level quantity is lower
than 3 quarts (decreasing) and stops pulsing at 5 quarts (increasing).

Hi all,
@Leonidas: so for now everything works but on the EWD/SD computer?? did you try to manually close/re-launch WideFMGS on that computer (while it still runs on the server)?
JL
Not the EWD/SD computer actually, because the backup instruments work. Just EWD and SD monitors. I tried manually restart wideFMGS as you said, without any change. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall that client? By the way: how could I save configuration from a) FMGSconfig, b) IITcreator and c) position and size of instruments, before uninstalling?

I do not think uninstalling/reinstalling will change anything. If you do so, by uninstalling it should keep the config files on the harddrive, and installing again will not overwrite them. Just in case, the files you need to save are:
- FMGS Server folder: AControls.cfg and JOYSW.cfg
- Hardware Modules folder: IIT.dnt
- EWD folder: configEWD.cfg
- SD folder: configSD.cfg

Hi
well, troubles over troubles here with the network.
WideFMGS on clients and server shows ports as connected, but MCDU, OVHD etc. are shown as not connected on SERVER and are not working.
AP/FBW and SERVER on same computer. SERVER shows AP/FBW connected, but AP/FBW jumps btw. connected and not connected.
Startet manually and with starter - no difference. Sometimes A320Server reports "Access violation at address 004561EF in FMGS_Server.exe Read address 01000009"
After killing and restarting FMGS Server reports a Win socket error on API bind.
When FMGS Server is crashing, the Client FMGS also crashes with "not responding" ... seems as this is a neverending story... :(
No more ideas, as aivlasoft EFB runs on same computes via same TCP like a charm ... just typing in tcp and thats it. So the connection should be ok.
Ping is also working fine, and I gave them a try with the firewalls switched off. No more ideas.
What kind of diagnose features does FMGS offers to find out the problem?
THX and regards
Hans

Hi Jeeheel,
now i double check the Oi values for the quantity with our maintenance in Munich. The 20 means in fact 20 Liters and not 200 quarts as other colleagues saying and teaching to their FO's. What a shame!
The values are only valid for a the CFM 56 engine.
Our scale is in liters going from 0 to 20 as i mentioned in my first post.
Its also correct that the indication flashing yellow/ red when it drops unter 5 liters.
Yes i think the calibration caused somefaults in the power throttle. I often get Manual trust and suddenly it's goes into CLB Mode..

Hi,
@Francesco: strange, I'll look at it.
@Chris: I did some research myself: it seems to me it is in quarts, and the fact is 1 quart is roughly 0.946353 liters, so anyway it's almost fine to say the scale is 20 lites or 20 quarts. Anyway, since in our case we do not have a real engine (...) here is what I modified: 100% oil in FS results in 13.0 quarts (or almost 13.0 liters). So if you change the oil quantity (it can be done through FSUIPC), it will flash below 5 (decreasing) and stop flashing above 7 (increasing).
@Everyone: I'm working on WideFMGS, I had better results I think (cannot test all configurations all by myself unfortunately), and I need to work just a few more hours/days on it.
Cheers,
JL

still can't set SPD/MACH with Fsbus! This is the c++ code i use:
Defining objects:

MkFsObject (JH_PIPE2, "", eventhandler, 0x73CD, 2, TP_UI16, FS_NORMAL, 0);
and now use JH_PIPE and JH_PIPE2 to set speed/mach:
case SPEED_ROT:
Airspeed+=val;
if (Airspeed<100)
Airspeed=100;
FsWriteInt(JH_PIPE, 1);
FsWriteInt(JH_PIPE2, Airspeed);
break;
but this code sets HDG! If i use FsWriteInt(JH_PIPE, 2); this change ALT, and so on...
How to fix it?

Hi all
Thanks JL for this update, my last problem is solved now.
Rob I can't confirm what you wrote about ND. Mine is OK.
Minor issues:
1. My B.27 pilot routes backup is useless?
2. During landing by pressing manual brakes auto brake are still engaged. After a while DECEL turned off but the ON stays on. I should press it by myself in order to turn off. This button is connected to my FDS card and configured via IITcreator.
3. I can't engage AP from my sidestick, only from FCU, but I can disengage it from both.
4. Red arrow Side Stick Priority of F/O during flight is always turned on. Is this as should be?
5. TERR on ND button does not remain ON after I press it. When I leave it return to turn off. So in order to see Terrain I should keep it pressed.

Hi Leonidas, thanks for your feedback! Then I have to reinstall my client. A quick feedback from another user is always helpful.
regarding your issues:
3. As far as I know the button on the sidestick only deactivates the AP. For activation you HAVE TO use the buttons on the FCU. So from my point of view the system is modelled correctly. But I noticed that you dont always get the MW when you move the stick when the AP is active. It always deactivates the AP but only sometimes the MW bell goes on. really weird.
4. The sidestick priority korrys work fine here :)
5. both TERR on ND buttons work and the ON remains on. (I have momentary switches)
Rob
@ Christian: I have no clue. Does the SD work correctly on the server pc? or do you struggle with that issue on a client?

Hi JL
Thanks for the update. I tested the latest version for some hours and all worked fine. PC1 with Captain PFD, ND; PC2 with STBY, EWD, SD and FDS hardware; PC3 with MCDU, OVHD; and finally the FSX server running CPFlight FCU.
CPFlight FCU: has now better reaction/feedback time. However, it is still a bit slow in response.
WideFMGS client/server: I was running it for some hours. Never had a disconnect. The performance of the data transfer is fast and all instruments run smoothly. I also run some start-up test of WideFMGS, which I would like to share here. All described use cases are reproducable (at least on my PC).
Use Case 1: Starting client first, then server
- Start all WideFMGS clients on all PCs
- Start A320 server with WideFMGS server -> all client connect -> OK
- Stop one of the client WideFMGS -> FMGSserver ends (program terminates)
- A320 server shows all clients disconnected after some seconds, except 'STBY' remains 'connected'
Use Case 2: Start server first, then all clients
- Start A320 server with WideFMGSserver
- Start clients with WideFMGS -> the client connects to FMGSserver -> after some seconds A320 server shows connected -> OK
- Stop one of the client WideFMGS -> FMGSserver ends (program terminates)
- A320 server shows all clients disconnected after some seconds, except 'STBY' remains 'connected'
Regardless if server or client is stared first, a client shutdown also shuts down the FMGSserver.
Use Case 3: End FMGSserver manually
- Start A320 Server
- Start client: OVHD, MCDU -> FMGSserver connects -> A320 server reports connected -> OK
- Start client: Captain PFD, ND -> FMGSserver connects -> A320 server reports connected -> OK
- Start client: STBY, EWD, SD -> FMGSserver connects -> A320 server reports connected -> OK
- Stop FMGSserver -> A320 server shows all clients disconnected after some seconds, except 'STBY' remains 'connected'
- Start FMGSserver -> error: "System Error. Code 1410. Class already exists." -> confirm message with 'OK' -> FMGS server 'not responding' -> manually terminated
- Start FMGSserver again -> startup now OK, but no client connects
- Terminate client OVHD, MCDU
- Start client OVHD, MCDU -> FMGSserver connects -> A320 server reports connected -> OK
If the FMGSserver terminates, clients don't connect automatically anymore. The clients have to be restarted. If the FMGSserver is being started manually after manual termination, an error (code 1410) occurs. The 2nd time the server is being started, then it's ok.
Interesting is also that within A320 Server, the STBY instrument remains always in 'connected' state, if if the FMGSserver or the client of STBY is down.
That's all for the time being. The positive feedback is certainly, that this version is flyable very nicely. Thanks for your effort.

Hi,
@Leo:
1. they should work just as before, or they may not work but because of a bug not linked to the file format
2. I'll have a look at that
3. As said, from the sidestick you can only disconnect the AP.
4. Maybe one of your stick is not calibrated correctly and is not seen in neutral position.
5. There are options in IITcreator to use momentary switches in a toggle mode. The ND On Terrain button should be a latching switch (i.e. stay pushed in when activated).
@Rob: If you do not see ARPTs, NDBs, etc, probably the navdata is not correctly installed, which is weird. Tell us how it goes after reinstallling.
@Christian: which aircraft model do you use? it is mandataory to use the one provided with the installation package.
@Adrian: thanks for the feedback. I have noticed some of them too, I'll look at it.
I will be away from programming for a week, i'll try to read the forums regularly though.

Hi JL,
you ask for some feedback for my personal ND problem on the client: Well, I removed the complete software from the client and reinstalled it. I have not touched the server which actually contains the NAV data. Now it's working correctly. Who knows?
But I also have to say that this version is really excellent! Just a tiny tweak to sort out the strange starting order issues of client and server ... then you can proceed with new stuff :)
BTW: I still wait on the video of brake temps, I really hope to get it within the next weeks... meanwhile I started to think of a reasonable temp model. My idea is a simple linaer system with "heating cofficients" and "cooling coefficient". Each of these coefficients define a cetain delta temp effect over a time step.
a heating coefficient "HC" could be for example:
1. brake intensity * decel. rate * AC weight
2. brake intensity * positve thrust setting
a cooling coefficient "CC" could be for example:
1. gear * 1/total ambient temp * AC speedgear up
with gear = 0.1 for gear up and gear =1 for gear down
2. brake fan on or off
so you could integrate these coefficients over the time and seperatly define an influnence factor with the X's.
deltatemp=previoustemp + X*HC1 + X*HC2 - X*CC1 - X*CC2.
I know this does not represent heat transfer properly (which is not linear) but maybe worth a try? So by tweaking these coefficients we might get a reasonable temp model which can be ajusted to some real values. I hope I explained it correctly. See it as some brainstroming. Maybe you have a better idea.
How did you do it so far? you can PM me or send me an email...
Enjoy your programming free week :) Thanks!

Hi all,
with the current version I am having the problem that if I use the Captain's ND Dimmer on the Loudspeaker Panel, the Captains's MCDU is dimming. The PFD Poti is dimming the ND. Of course the potis are assigned to the correct action within Skalarki's profiler. If I use B27, this is working fine.
Another problem on my autobrake panel (Skalarki's as well) which I installed this weekend (and this one is happening on both B27 and B28): The green triangles ("3 Green") remain lit througout the whole flight. The red "UNLCK" lights do not show up at all during gear going down or up. Has anyone else the same problem? I am quite sure I defined everything correct in Skalarki's profiler (events for LED on and off). Anyone else using Skalarki's Autobrake Panel and it works as it should?
Thanks for any help.

I forgot to mention one thing: When you load a saved route the ILS is not auto tuned. In that case you have to manually insert the ILS on the MCDU. I assume that the real AC also auto tunes the ILS for a saved route.

Hi,
@Leo:
1. they should work just as before, or they may not work but because of a bug not linked to the file format
JL
1. This mean should I keep my routes?
4. F/O does not have sidestick, so it's OK
5. The only option I can see is the Invert check box, wich I tested. My TERR ON ND button is not latching, other buttons (AUTO BRK) neither, but work perfectly!

Hi All,
This package contains a reworked sounds folder contents of JLFMGS sound module. the recording was made directly from the system's digital A320, via callout control system. not all sounds have been converted (limited availability of technical personnel a320 ..... sigh!).
The folder also contains a detailed record of APU (Start-Run-Stop) for future implementations. Installation: Rename the original folder and copy the folder JLSound sound, rename it to the original Sound folder.

silly question: I have two 5" displays connected to one PC running FMGS MCDUs. Problem: the MCDU-displays overlap each other when I adjust them to show the display area only. No way to find a positition that works properly. Solution could be, to provide a screen with the display area only (no keys). Not implemented as i know, any idea for a workaround ?

Hi Netserv,
Display only is implemented for the MCDU´s, if you make a R/H mouseclick over the display you will find the option "DISPLAY ONLY". Just tick this one, and only the display is shown.

Leonidas, the autobrakes switches are not latching in the real acft, so by default they work like toggle switches in my soft! However, the TERR ON ND are latching switches, so if you want to use non latching switches, you need to tell IITCreator. As for the routes, whats wrong with them ins B28.x?
Stefan, issues with skalarkis I/O should be discussed with him first...

Hi Daniele,
Thanks for your reply. Meanwhile I've figured it out and I've really read your post when you released the last soundset :) In fact, when you posted it you mentioned that this set only covers some new sounds... anyways, I really do like it and its quality.
I hope you will get all the other missing sounds as well. That would mean I could stop bothering my lazy contact in a full flight simulator center of an airline ;)
What I still dont understand is the APU part. You have spilt it into 3 files. Ok... but I cant hear it running, stopping or starting?
and... what I also noticed: The "regular" cockpit environment sounds are always on. You always hear the avionic fans even the aircraft power is turned off. any idea?
Really nice job...

Hi Rob,
Let me explain ..... the three rows of the APU were included in the sound folder for future implementation of the module sound.exe (I hope JL consider it :)).
in FS2004 is not 'can implement the sounds APU.
In FSX this is possible, but I'm having problems dealing with the three sounds with offsets. In fact fsx only manages an offset (APU run). I hope to resolve the problem over the next few days.
With regard to the ambient sounds in the cabin, I think it is possible to enable / disable this through the electrical bus.
I'll let you know.

Hi,
as I still had problems with B28 as updated version, I have installed it with the complete installer (B28.3) from scratch now. The following problems still occur:
1. I first start the starter.exe on the server which is working fine. Then I start it on the client PC. At that moment I am getting 2 error messages on the server from Widefmgsserver: "System Error. Code 1400. Invalid Window handle" or "System Error. Code 1410. Class already defined" (translated these messages as the appear in German). After I close down the error messages, the system seems to be working ok.
2. On both NDs the traffic is displayed with values such as +337 or +255.

I just have another issue, I have started to connect several panels thru the OC Cards, and all is running well, I´m just facing the problem that the AUTOBRAKE switches & LED´s are not working - They are working without problems thru the SIOC monitor, and as well the switch inputs are shown within the hardware connect module. It just looks like FMGS is not recognizing it... As mentioned, all other switches (BRAKE FAN, A/SKID, TERR ON ND) are working without problem. Any hint would be appreciated, as I´m runnig out of ideas where to look for...

Sorry, I just forgot a question: JL, which data is considered to show CATII or CATIII on PDF FMA during autoland? I am not sure why but all my landings are displayed as CATII even the earthnav file says its a CATIII runway.
jeehell
02-12-2013, 08:01 AM
Rob, the navdata is not a criteria for CAT1,2,3 display on the FMA. The FMA displays aircraft capability, and not runway capability, meaning the pilot is responsible to check the runway/ILS is OK for CATI,II,III operations.
So to have CAT3 displayed on the FMA you need:
-At least two ADIRUs ON and aligned (3 ADIRUs for CAT3 DUAL)
-AP is engaged (both APs for CAT3 DUAL)
-ATHR engaged
-AC essential bus supplied by either GEN1 or GEN2

Hi,
when I switch off Autopilot or A/T I sometimes hear the resulting sound, but most times I do not hear it. This was the case in version 27 but it is still in 28 and also with the latest update.
My sound module is on the client, but having it on the server PC it's the same problem. It tells me the sound module is connected fine. Altitude callouts come out fine. If I continue switching on and off the A/P every 3 seconds, then let's say in 1 of 5 cases I am hearing the sound, in all other cases not. It should not be a problem with overlapping sounds that come at the same time, because there are no other sounds at that time.
Anyone an idea?

Yes JL, that's it. You are perfect! I'm not going to use pilots routes until you tell me so.
Now my minor issues:
1. When terminate the starter everything turns off except CPFlight FCU. I should unplug it from power, otherwise stays on even after shutting down the PC!
2. The photo of E/WD shows a message I saw during landing after touchdown for the first time after last update. It stays there with aural and MW sound even after shutdown both engines. It doesn't turn off when I push the MW button.
3. The photo of SD shows that GEN 2 is off allways, even when the ENG 2 is started and OVHD switch is as it should be.

Hi JL
Thanks for the update of the WideFMGS. In summary, it works nice. Nevertheless, I still found some issues:
I tested the new software versions with the same 'use cases' (UC) I reported in December (see page #30). UC-1 and UC-2 still remain; means, if I shutdown one of the WideFMGS clients, the WideFMGSserver ends.
UC-3 works half way through. This means that if the WideFMGSserver is stopped manually and restarted manually, the clients do connect. However, if I shut down all FMGS applications on the server by stopping the 'starter' and then start them all with the 'starter', the clients do not connect automatically. I still have to stop and start the clients as well.
Also, the 'STBY' remains in status 'connected' although stopped.
I also tested with a flight from LSZH to EDDS. The connection was stable and all displays updated fast and smooth. I also had the feeling that the CPFlight update cycles are faster. I just wasn't able to land with A/P. But I think this is missing knowledge about A320 system on my side ;)
Thanks again for your work.

Hallo everybody ...
I have an annoying problem here. On one of my network computers I run the

Skalarki I/O Profiler 3.3 running there. Everything works fine until a period of
time, when I can`t use the keys of the MCDU any more. There is no error
window, and the MCDU ( softwareside ) is continuing to work. Restarting the
profil under the Skalarki Software doesn`t help, just restarting the whole network
computer will let it work again ... until ..... again ..
Is anybody having the same problems and has maybe got a solution ?

@ Armin: Have you tried to run the MCDU with the server PC? You could try to use the profiler on the main server. At the end you only connect the display of the MCDU to the client pc... maybe that works better? I dont have this MCDU... but maybe its worth a try.

Thanks, JL. CAT3 is back alive :) Great.
A little bug regarding MasterWarning: in cause you have two MWs at the same time and you hit the MW button, the red flashing stops but the bell continues for the second MW. I assume you should "accept" both MWs with one push of the MW button and the bell should be off after the first hit of the MW PButton. Examlple: set TO power with SPD brake not retracted and flaps not in TO config.
@ Stefan: Thanks for your offered help! The last update just solved the issue :)

JL, I forgot something -> Remember our discussion about max bank limits and its dynamic??? Look what I found this weekend:
ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/37/bank1.gif/)
ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/40/bank2.gif/)
So the bank limit is a simple ramp function of true air speed plus the dependency of managed or selected heading mode. Hope that helps :)

You are welcome. I have another tiny hint for you regarding the LOC capture bug. I just noticed something in the my bug video. Go to 2:30 min. You see that the ACFT is approaching the waypoint (5 miles away from the runway). When the FMGS clears this waypoint, you see a small & quick heading correction on the PFD. At that time I fast forwarded the vid. However, that means at that point the FMGS still follows the waypoints and NOT the localizer.

Hi JL!
Coming back to my problem with Sound-Module (Post #352)......
After complete new installation of B28.4 the problem is still there -> no sounds.
But then I tried to start the Sound-Module on the server and this works. Conclusion is, the Sound-Module doesn't work when running on client. It connects from the client to server but does not play any sound, at least in my setup.:(
I would like to run the Sound-Module on a different PC to play these sounds on seperate speakers.
FYI: All 4 PCs I'm using have the same hardware config except the server, it has a more performant graphic card.

Hi JL,
Is there an option for creating a fix in the flight plan. I.e. a VOR FIX at a given radial and distance? if so how to enter these? and what about VOR ARCs with a defined radius?
Cheers,
Rob
jeehell
03-12-2013, 11:14 AM
Hi Rob,
you can create PBD points (Place Bearing Distance). ex: AZR/250/15 creates a point in the 250º for 25Nm of AZR VOR.
You can also create a PB-PB point ex:AZR/350-CGS/040 creates a point at the intersction of the two VoR radials.
This works also with fixes and NDBs.
However, VOR arcs cannot be created by the pilots,as in the real aircraft. They are part of the navdata. I'm still working on navdata to get a better system, but this takes time.

No you probably cannot copy that, it is VERY likely windows will change the joystick configuration.
However you can try to copy the files and change the config afterwards if it fails.
The files needed are located inside FMGS Server and are called:
AControls.cfg
JoySW.cfg

JL
Hi JL,
I can use your SIOC Creator, but I must add my SIOC code because the new Opencockpits IOCards outs has been designed to expand the IOCard Master outputs with 32 outputs more for each additional IOCard Outs connected. The card is connected directly to IOCard Master's port J1 through a 40-wire ribbon cable IDC type, just like the IOCard Displays II and to turn-on an output you must indicate the number of the display and not the output number.
In your SiOC the panel is already provided but may indicate only outputs.
So I thought of using the variables of the fire protection panel to turn on the lights by writing the appropriate code.
Bye

Hi,
I would like to bring up this subject once more. Because I had issues with AFLOOR when using Active Sky, I have now bought REX for FS9 and must say, that I have the same issue with REX as well. The only weather tools that do not give a problem are FSMetar and the FS9 builtin weather engine.
JL, is there any chance to log and find out what exactly triggers the software to go into AFLOOR mode? Resp. what triggers the IAS to drop to zero nearly? I think this would be the only way to find out the reason for the problems. I don't want to go without a weather tool, I also have tried to smooth wind changes in FSUIPC, but with no effect.
Thanks for your help
Stefan
jeehell
04-02-2013, 09:27 AM
Hi,
If A.FLOOR is triggered, this means the IAS goes below A.FLOOR speed, there is no other possibility.
Why IAS goes below A.FLOOR speed:
-either the wind change really fast in which case this is not what I consider a good WX addon
-or the addon alters the FS simulation, which also means it is not a good addon.
-or the only other reason possible I can see is the pitot heating. By default, my software should turn it on when airborne, and it cannot be turned off. But you could maybe check if it's on (using a panel inside FS for example).
see VATSIM.net • View topic - Does REX cause this for anyone else? (http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=51566&start=0)
Check maybe if you can deactivate icing in clouds. If the WX addons allow severe icing to overcome pitot heating, unless you want to re-enact AF447, this is not a realistic feature at all.
JL

Hi JL,
thanks for these explanations. I had already checked the wind in FSUIPC and tried several different setups, I assume this will not be the problem. But the others about pitot heat and icing I will need to check, hopefully I can find the reason there.

Leonidas: Hm? Weird. Sorry, it was just an idea to help to solve your announing issue.
@ JL, well meanwhile I've done my second quick flight. Again, my first impression of b29 is really nice! Thank you :)
Here are my first findings.
confirmed - GRD SPL cant be deactivated
#1 - the Autothurst goes crazy when try to keep constant speed (seems to be a big fluctuation between idle and full/pretty high thrust settings)
#2 - with this big autothurst fluctuation the dashed stall speed tape is also going nuts up and down sometimes even getting a TOGA LOCK.
#3 - not related with b29. Check the displayed TOGA values right next to the two engine arcs. this value is not achieved. eg. 96.4% written. the arcs indicate only 94.%. This is NOT new with b29.
#4 - really weird is the following: when I turn the CPT PFD brightness poti, the brightness changes but I also command the xfr of PFD and ND. It seems two commands are given by that input. I dont know how the FO side behaves as I have not connected the
potis on that side yet.
#5 -I am not sure about this one but I are sure we will find the answer: your current engine arcs have the value "zero" on the lower left end. So the green N1 line NEVER goes down to the idle (which would correspond to N1=0). But the lever position goes all the way down to zero. I assume the gauge starts either at a value like 20. So there is no jump of the lever position. Did anybody understand what I just wrote?? :)
I installed over the existing 28 version. It would be interesting if everybody sees these problems.
Thanks you!!!!! ;)

Hi,
@Leonidas: when are the sounds playing, when you start sound module or the FMGS server?
@Rob:
-GND SPLRs:can you re declare the inputs buttons for arming and disarming the splrs? (I do no know which I/O you use)
-ATHR:which FS version do you use?
-TOGA N1: under what conditions is this happening? (temperature, altitude, etc)
-PFD is automatically xfred when brightness potentiometer is OFF.
-I'm almost sure the N1 gauge starts at 0. the problem with idle is that it changes according to OAT and pressure. So it fluctuates throughout the flight. If you can find a video on youtube which shows the behaviour I'm interested.
@Mike:which FS version do you use?

Hi ,

Thanks

same for me... using FSX. Seems that some controller setting have been changed.
for rolling: When performing an autoland the AC rolls to one direction after touchdown. Only on one of the MLG the AC runs down the runway. Looking strange. If required I can upload a vid. During final approach the AC tends to swing just a little bit around roll axis.
For pitch: It seems to keep the pitch better at higher roll angles but it does not seem to be so smooth anymore when in autopilot. For example: when capturing the GS... the nose down is commanded very hard and does not look realistic/smooth enough. From my point of view the GS transition was better before.
I also played abit with the control laws for autothrust with the nice editor. Cool stuff! But how do i reset all values I touched?
For spoiler deactivation I already tried to reconfig it. It does not work. Only activation works. I use opencockpit stuff.
For the other issues I will contact you later.

After B.29 there is no speed mark on speed tape (selected or managed, value or triangle), except V1 and Vr, but AC flies normally at these speeds (eg. 250KIAS below FL100). Please confirm.

Hi JL,
thanks for the new version, here are some findings of my first flight:
1. I cannot arm spoilers any more. I have assigned that action to a joystick button in your configuration.
2. On PFD the red ground altitude ribbon is reaching into the number of actual altitude when on ground.
3. When pressing "B" in FS9 to reset to current QNH, the QNH in PFD is updated as well as actual altitude, but the display in glare wing on CP side is no longer updated / I am using skalarki wing + I/O; it is working in B28
4. PFD: In speed tape the target IAS is no longer displayed (triangle). Before T/O V2 is not displayed on top of speed tape
5. Autothrust is very nervous, going up and down especially when reaching and maintaining target altitude
6. When in mode OP DES, the descent rate is very nervous, A/C is pitching up and down
7. A/C is rolling very much while establishing on localizer
Sounds are great, and A/C is also catching and maintaing LOC + G/S much better as in previous version. I am using FS9.
Thanks

Hi,
@Rob:
- I already noticed this behaviour on landing, I will look at it. Best to keep doing manual landings until then...
- Regarding the pitch down on GS interception, I will look again at it, but I do not think it does overcome the normal AP g-load limits?
- The AP coeff editor was not really meant to be in the public version in the first place, forgot to remove it. If you lost the settings, the best is to reinstall the AP.
- SPLRs: I'm on it.
@Leonidas:
- I will do soem tests regarding the sound module, this is weird.
- I will also look ath this speed tape issue, really makes me wonder!!
@Stefan
1. ongoing issue
2. this is normal (and wasn't correct in earlier versions)
3. You should not use this key to set the QNH. The QNH setting is set internally, and is different from the FS QNH. The altitude is then calculated internally as well. If you want to set the QNH setting to the actual QNH, you should get it by other means (like probably in FS/Weather oprions)
4. ongoing issue
5,6,7. please check the FPS limit of FS is set at 30fps.

Hi JL,
Thanks for the update. Will try it these days.
#1 Regarding your answer to Stefans issues with Autothrust, roll and pitch behaviour..."5,6,7. please check the FPS limit of FS is set at 30fps."
How does the FPS limit influence the control laws ? I see the same issues with FSX. I use an external frame rate limiter set @ 25FPS. In FSX it is set to unlimited FPS. With these settings i.e. the autothrust worked fine in b28. Now I see this nervous N1 needle at constant speed and altitude, the nervous rolling when on final approach... So is that really an FPS issue?
#2 Have you seen that nervous stall tape as well?
#3 For LOC and GS capture transition. Do you know this nice video:
PFD and ND VIEW on APPROACH (Primary Flight Display and Navigation Display) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VfI4Pyam1E)
Interesting is that LOC* is active even before the LOC bug starts to move. The roll is introduced really smooth. I took a stop-watch. It takes about 9 seconds from 0° to max. bank when LOC* is initialized.
For GS transition I will seach for another video since this one here shows an intercept with a vertical speed. Keep in mind that for GS activation, LOC* mode must be on.
Best regards and a big thank you!

Hi,
The FPS is critical for calculations inside AP/FBW. The control surfaces need realtime data to make sure they are moved appropriately. Please REALLY use 30 fps, either with FS or external limiter. I changed a LOT of things in the AP/FBW.
The stall and A.Prot tapes are nervous, because from now on they take into consideration the actual stall angle of incindence, not a fixed stall speed. So under g-loads, the stall speed increase (square root of the gload). This is a real feature. I will try to smooth a bit though.

Hi,
short feedback: after a first try with FPS set at 30 it seems to be a bit better now. but autothrust still needs some tweaking. I.E. you are 200kts and you turn the knob to 180kts. The ATHR goes to idle, the speeds drop below 180kts and the ATHR kicks back in pretty late and subsequently with a high thrust setting.
I also noticed one occilation on roll axis when in AP but cant really recreate it. At the point the FPS also dropped down to around 20. Might be related according to what you said. Anyways, for new FBW I need more time for testing. It seems to be completly reworked.
Spoilers: :-) Now, I can deactivate it but I need to set the switch to (ON) again for deactivation. I did try to reconfigure after latest online update.
what really confuses me is that I managed to have 2 crashes of the software in about 45 min. testing. At different stages the ACFT suddenly pitches down very hard, no input possible via joystick. I think the Skarlarki hardware FCU was dead as well and did not change any digits when turning the knobs. Maybe somebody else can confirm that bug... hard sudden pitch down, no inputs possible
stall tape: I know what you mean, the speed is given by the manoeuvre envelope and is Nz dependent. But I assume Vls should also move in the PFD speed tape and should always be greater. I think I managed to have a higher stall speed than Vls on the tape. Or am I wrong? Some smoothing would be nice, though :)
sometimes the new GPWS korry (upper box with GPWS label) flashes for just a milli second without any aural callout. Maybe you can delay that flash for another half sec. so it only comes alive with a GPWS callout. Again... awesome sounds!!!
I really like the new ECAMs for SPD BRK, OVERSPEED etc... sweet!!!
AND did you touch the ND wrt to lateral path construction? if so, I like it.
Cheers,
Robert

EDIT: I forgot to say that I also saw this yaw occilation, which another user noticed earlier....
And maybe other can say something about the pitch behaviour during rotation during takeoff. I have the feeling that the transition between GRD and FBW pitch mode is pretty hard. The ACFT tends to pitch up quite rapidly. But thats just my impression after 2-3 takeoffs.

Hello all,
I'm back with a new quick system. I have installed version B29, and can confirm the problems by Robert. The pitch after start and by landing is too strong. It was in B28 better. I have some other problems. When i start the Software Engin 2 shows Rev, but the Throttel is in Idle Position.I use one axis for both Levers. In short intervals master cautchen lights. The warning message appears too short to read them. My last problem is, when I takeoff in managed mode and change the height from 5000 ft to 10000 ft, the aircraft climb too much and goes into a floor. When I fly by hand, it works.

@ JL --> little hint for yaw occilation: I can recreate the following: go to 10000ft @ 200kts. flap conf 1. AP off, ATHR on (selected). Give full rudder input and let the ACFT build up max beta to left or right. release the rudder quickly and you see these significant overshoots of rudder when the contoller trys to reduce the beta.

Hi,
even after the latest update on B29, I am not able to arm the spoilers. I had assigned a joystick button on my throttle quadrant via the JL configuration tool, and this worked in B28. Anyone the same problem?
Another thing about ECAM control panel: When I press "ALL" on ECP, all possible screens are flowing through, but obviously I do not have the chance to revert back to the default page. When I press "ALL" and afterwards "ELEC" for example, I am getting the ELEC page, but when I press "ELEC" once more, the pages continue to flow through. Also another press on "ALL" does not help.

Hi JL,
some feedback with latest online update:
#1 SPOILER ARM: Can anybody please check if it works properly with OC hardware and regular toogle switch. I need to put the switch back to (ON) in order to disarm the spoilers. Arming works fine.
#2 The AP seems to be a bit better. Did not notice any significant rudder occilation. also roll on GS is better. At least it seems so after a 1st test. The strange auto touch down is not there any more... but the ACFT crashes into the runway as the flare is not sufficient.
#3 why did you remove the OVERSPD ECAM message? What else did you remove apart from dyn. stall tape? However, I did not have any crashes with latest update. before b29 caused several crashes where all inputs where igored. This often happend when "going crazy" and tying to play with the extremes of the FBW. No software crash within with last 45 min with latest update. thumbs up.
#4 the autothrust is still "nervous" as Stefan describes also leading to pitch occilations in CRZ with AP and AUTOTHRUST active. I also noticed that the target speed is NOT precise. Sometimes it remains 2-3 kts under the target speed value.
#5 the "hard" pitch up during rotation is still not very nice.
minor things:
#6 TOGA values displayed but not reached: example @ 15000ft, TAT+8, SAT-14, 98.6% TOGA displayed, N1 reaches only 93.5%.
#7 The "SPD BRK" memo changes its color from green to amber after 50 seconds time delay when the speed brakes are commanded to extension and the enginesare not at idle.
#8 MCDU: Just done a short trip from A to B. What really bothers me is that sometimes you load a SID or STAR and the ALTs given on FPL page are wrong. Some waypoints contain i.e. a "+4000" constrain on the ver ref page. On the FPL page the waypoint shows a value of 1500 or 1796 i.e. and are not magenta.
#9 JL, you touched the brightess potis of PFD and ND. Nice! But I have a tiny issue left: Can anybody please check the brightness of the CPT ND. I turn down the knob from MAX to LOW --> The brightness goes down. Fine! But at a certain point at the lower end of the knob travel, the brightness of the ND suddenly goes to max. again. The potentiometer itself is working as I can configure it correctly.
Thanks+Regards

EDIT: regarding #2: small correction --> the strange looking touch down is still there. I also just noticed that the ACFT went down the GS correctly but again with a constant offset to the localizer. Only LOC* was active until the new "AUTOLAND" korries started to flash. Then the ACFT tried to correct the lateral offset... too late though.

#3 Strange. I didnt get any red OVDSPEED MW on ECAM any more. Before last update I have seen in working in b29. Maybe others can check?
#4 I will try the update tonight
#7 no, I know the new ECAM message for SPD BRK STILL OUT but I meant and read that the SPD BRK memo on the right should also changes it color after 50 sec. with thrust not at idle. I will dig out the reference document, if you want. Nothing to worry about right now. :)
#8 MCDU: Imagine you load a SID. Some of the loaded and displayed waypoints (WP) show a wrong alitude on the FPLN page which does not match the altitude value which you see when you look at the vertical rev. page of that WP. Example: a WP on the FPLN page shows 1976ft. When you enter the vertical rev. page of that waypoint the altitude is magenta and shows "+4000" ft. I assume that the value of the vertical rev. page should always be identical to the altitude value of the FPLN page. Know what I mean?
#9 Could somebody please check the correct behaviour of the ND brightness?
thanks guys!!
Robert

#8 no the FPLN and LAT REV pages are not always identical in that regard. The LAT REV page shows the CSTR if there are some, whereas the FPLN page shows the altitude at the waypoint calculated by the FMGS. So if the acft cannot comply with the CSTR....
AirFan
04-23-2013, 06:33 AM
ah... ok. got it. But how do you know that you can not consider all given constrains/ and which ones? Is that displayed anywhere or do I have to compare each WP on the FPLN page with the VERT. REV page? This is not clear to me,yet.

Well in fact it is indeed VERT REV page which shows ALT CSTR...
The FPLN page show an asterisk * which is magenta if the CSTR is matched or amber if it is not matched. Remember also some CSTR are of the form "above" or "below" certain altitude/FL.

Now there is no way to get fmgs server to connect to the clients on a second pc. I rechecked ip and ports of the server machine, they are set on client. FSIUPC 4 still installed in P3D and registered. FMGS server works with clients on same machine.
No firewall is activated and the pc´s can see each other over network. Any help suggestions ? It must be a trivial thing, but I´m really stuck here...

Hi JL,
again some feedback with latest online update:
#1 the overspeed warning works. Dont know how I managed that it did not work in 2 flights. Today I tried and it works.
#2 the land gear indicator korry light up with initial power up and go dark when AC is unpowered but will not light up again when repowered. However, if you do a light test after first power off, the lights are back on.
#3 in managed DES. the ptich FD bar disappears. Dont know yet in which situations. When restart the FD, the bar is back and the FCU is in selected vs mode.
#4 Autothrust: Hm? hard to tell... it is better than before the last update but not as good as in b28. When you decrease you speed you see an overswing. So the speed drops below 5kts of target. In addition I noticed that the target speed is not 100% kept. There is often an offset of about 2kts. This is my impression.
#5 roll/pitch behaviour with AP off: I really like it! My impression is that this new setup is way better when in manual flight. Except the GRD-FLT transition during rotation. This is a real issue. With AP on, I need more time testing, I guess there are some things that need some tweaking....
#6 SPL-DISARM for OC hardware
#7 You did not answer this one, yet: Did you touch the lateral path contruction on ND? It seems better! LIKE IT.
#8 sound of the putting FLAPS from 0 to 1 before takeoff. This sound seems to short and is looped during transition very often. It just sounds strange. But the rest is REALLY REALLY NICE!! THUMBS UP!

Hi
@leonidas: I do not manage aircraf sounds such as those, it's up to you t ofind a correct sound set with all these sounds.
@Fabián/Beret: To get managed modes available when airborne, you need to make sure:
- MCDU is properly filled in (INIT A/B, FPLN, PERF TO pages).
- the 3 IRS are aligned
- you takeof in TOGA or in FLX mode (thrust levers in the correct detent)
- if you do a FLEX takeoff, make sure the flextemp is correctly entered in the PERF TO page.
@Stefan: weird, I'll look at it if I can find that error??

A few aesthetic things, and the transition between ground and flight modes for the FBW.

Hi
@Stefan: weird, I'll look at it if I can find that error??
Best regards,
JL
Hi JL,
thanks for your help, it is really appreciated.
In the meantime I have done the following to re-test a bit more:
- deleted B29 folders on both server and client PC
- copied B28 folders and renamed them to B29
- made an installation of the B29 installation file into this B29 folder (both client + server)
- run the updater and installed updates (both client + server)
- started configurator on server to assign joystick buttons for arm/disarm ground spoilers
- started B29 on client + server
The problem persists, error message comes on server. I have done a bit more testing around this:
- It always happens approx 2 minutes after start of B29 on server (around 1:58 to 2:00)
- Next time it happens again after 2 minutes, even if I do not confirm the error message, so every 2 minutes I get a new error message window on the server screen
- It happens also when the B29 is not started on client
- It happens also when the Hardware Connect module is not started on server
If I can do anything more to "isolate" the error, please let me know.
Thanks
Stefan

Stefan,
You should have 2 files called FMGSserverLog.txt and FMGSthreadLog.txt.
Next time the error appears, simply close the FMGS server, and send me those two files (jeehell at jeehell.org).

Hi All,
Another update available, this one should correct the SPLR arm/disarm for SIOC users.
The complete updated package is also available here:

Hi everyone
I solved the problem. I ran the ND only on client PC. I never did it even once on server PC.
I ran ND on server PC only once and then on client PC. After that , all perfect.
The track line is a continuos line now.
Thans for your help.
Best regard from CHILI.

Hi JL,
maybe you fixed my problem with yesterday's update? I was creating the requested log files with the version before yesterday, where the error happened. Then I updated, and the error seems to be gone. I have not tested this with the client running at the same time, but at least the server doesn't throw any error message at the moment. If that fixed it: Great, thanks!

Hi all, Hi JL,
I've done serveral online updates the last days. Until yesterday everything was pretty good except the spoiler arm issue. Now I downloaded the 29.1 install version and installed over all the existing folders, plus ran another online update.
Now I face the problem that there seems to be something wrong with the flaps. When I select flaps 1, I only get slats after pushing F6 once.. a second F6 push provides Slats 1 and flaps 1....aAlso the blue "target" flap positions is not indicated on EWD. I cant get to activate SRS mode and the speed limit tape does not change with different flap settings. Not flyable due AFLOOR once in the air.
Can anybody tell me if you see something similar? Again, yesterday it ran fine also with the new pitch transition during takeoff. I want to avoid a complete new install. plz help :)

Hi Rob,
in fat its not an error. I changed the handling of flaps, and regular FS keys won't work anymore.
If you have joystick buttons, using FMGS config, you can assign Flaps increment/decrement switches.
I will try to add FSUIPC offsets for those actions so you can add keyboard shortcuts as well. But it will be for later. Sorry but I had issues with keeping the regular FS controls... and I forgot to mention this "little"detail...

ahh.. thanks for the instant reply. :) That makes sense now. Indeed it works. I really like the new FBW in manual mode after the first test flights.
the ATHR is still an issue though. Play with the speeds at constant altitude --> You will see how the speed drops below or overshoots the target speeds --> Still some overshoots in the controller. But again... I really like the new handling of the FBI. Way more precise and stable with independant pitch and roll behaviour.
#1 - prohibit GS before LOC capture
#2 - Autoland still not working. During FLARE the AC rolls.
#3 - I am still chasing the N1 arc / thrust lever position issue... I might get some dedicated vids from real AC focusing on that issue.
anyhow... really nice. thank you.

I think I have found the issue arround this error message - because yesterday in the evening it was there again; after today's update is was gone again... It looks like it has something to do with the pilot routes. I had around 7 or 8 in B28 version which I copied over to the navdata subfolder of B29 - once I have done that, the error appeared again. Once I deleted these routes again, the error was gone.

Hi JL,
I downloaded latest update today, and it looks like I am having a flaps problem now. I am not using any key strokes or buttons for flaps, but one axis of my Saitek throttle quadrant, defined in the JL server configuration tool. I redefined it once more, but I cannot extend the flaps any more. Hydraulics are green. The EWD displays the requested position (e.g. 2) in blue, but nothing happens:

Hi to all
After last update a message "Access violation at address... for IIT" (that means FDS card) appears and the problem with spoilers-air brakes insists. I can just arm them before takeoff, then they are useless... Maybe it's the same problem, I don't know...
But here there are my solved problems after B.29:
1. No more lag when I use saved pilots routes.
2. CPFlight FCU opens and closes normally with starterfsx.exe (no need to power it off every time).
3. No need for starting clients after server
Thanks JL for this update. Well done!
PS. Some time after an update of these days while starting the EWD I saw it in EPR mode instead of N1, but after a few seconds before I realized it disappeared and N1 takes its place again. So, what are you prepare JL?

Hi Leonidas,
weird. In my case the spoiler arm/disarm is working correctly again using OC. So maybe FDS related. Maybe that info helps in any way.
