I thought that this could once again be something that we all can use:

We installed a small LCD touch screen with on/off switch to our sim with a DBS Airport GPS for FSX/FS2004:

Now when flying in a unfamiliar airports it is very easy to check the airways and airport structural map.

There is also a new version of DBS software coming up where you can change the map view into the 'night mode'. This way the map is not so bright when operating night time flights.

Here is a bit blurry video: (-> 2:24)

OP,

Thanks for posting. Hard to tell from the videos, but does it show taxiway letters?

To be honest I cannot remember that but I can check that on the upcoming saturday when I will go to my hometown Pori where the sim is located.

If you want, you can also send an email to the software developer. They are about to publish a new version soon. I actually contacted them already and successfully manager to have a new feature to the GPS map. In the next version there is going to be a night color scheme that suits better for night flying.
