I attended Oshkosh this year and there was these guys showing off a simulator that used the stick forces to move the cockpit surround by using a balanced frame. See pic.

I think it is from Renegade Light Sport, kind of a poor video here (http://renegadelightsport.com/flight-simulator/).

The balance was good, and it seemed to get across the movement idea pretty elegantly. As you can see from the video, loops and rolls only go so far. Weights are added to compensate for heavier/lighter pilots.

Anyone used one of these or do something like this on theirs?

Not me, the motion provided with that system is wrong for realisitc g force simulation. I prefer no motion at all to incorrect motion. Its arcade quality.
