Hello friends!
I am building cessna 172 simulator. I am using FSBUS elektronics for control switches, displays, encoders and stepper engine. I'm going to build a classic analog compass.
This indicator would be rotating by stepper engine.
I need engine with 1 degreses step. In shop i found only engines with 1,8 and 7,5 degrees by step.

How can i build a compass?

I have engine with 7,5 deg/step and 24 steps

Sorry for my mistakes

Thanks

Have you thought using gears?
Chooce a set of gears so that you have 1 degrees steps.

Best regards

You will probably want to find a 0,9 degree stepper for the best resolution. With half stepping this can get pretty close to 1 degree. The other option is to gear down to achieve close to 1 degree as others suggested.
