Hello All,

not sure if the question was handled yet, did'nt find anything by search fkt. ..

Project Magenta team in 2004 advised to limit FS frame rate to xx (e.g. 25) fps in order to have
enough time for FSUIPC network traffic to the PM clients.
For FSX, there is an advice from Mathijs Kok/ Aerosoft NOT to limit the frame rates to any number because of a bug (?) that cause fps drops more than wanted by that limitation.

What do you / PM/wideclient users do ? What's your expirience with frame rates in FSX when it comes to FSUIPC/wideclient commnication ?

Regards and always good landings

Hi, I have it unlimited. But this makes me think about the odd g/s overshoot problem.
Maybe I'll do some testings with 25fps locked.

With today's multi-cored PCs that's not really the case. All of the WideServer services are threaded and make use of multiple cores, and they are self-limiting so as not to overload clients.

The main reason to limit frame rates is to obtain smooth flying. Unlimited frame rates tend to vary considerably and this often appears as jerking (like stutters only more so).

That's what I use.
