This Poll will be a bit different then others and more self serving to the site.
We depend a lot on statistical information, such as what you look at and participate in. This let's us know what part of the site and information is important to you. Not as an individual, but as a group.
Unfortunately, we can't gather information if you don't sign-in. Out of 3000 Unique visitors a day, there are less then 300 members that sign in.
*I added some extra items, I'm just interested in your response and how you perceive this site economically.
Any comments will be much appreciated. Your thoughts and suggestions are important.

The previous site was more user friendly in terms of being able to see other member projects, now it appears to be hidden under "media gallery". What happened to random images being displayed.
It may be a good idea to categorise members & their projects so that others can home in on their areas of interest.
Just some thoughts, the site is definitely great as a builders resource.

Rob, thank you for your comments.
I'm sorry you feel the site and particularly Media Gallery, currently is not friendly. We try our best to make it friendly.
The Media Gallery is the same program as before and the layout is, at the most the same. Although we did remove the random images from the main index page. We thought it was to cluttered and was confusing since it was also showing the most recent photos.
Each category has it's own random set of images. So if in particular you wanted to look at random Airbus images you would go to the Airbus Category. There are a total of 48 thumbnail images per page.
I just added the sidebar random image, not too many images, but like I said, go to the category and you'll see plenty.
Thanks again,

This is a super site. Thanks.
I see no reason that all areas must be accessible for non members.
If you do not need to be logged in, so there is a greater risk to frivolous posts,
It is always nice and could see who you've talked to in the members list.
But this is just my opinion

hi
This is a terrific site and Matt puts lots of effort and money into it.
Therefore I would opt for member sponsorship, be it voluntarily or obliged, because I had a nasty experience with some of my postings on a commercial product being removed due to pressures from a competitor who is also a sponsor of this site.

I must agree with most. I think members should have to log in to access resources and view images and the like. Sure, some threads could be members only. As far as the galleries are concerned, I have no problem with them being members only.
On that note I must admit that I do not like the new site, it's a personal opinion but I liked to see the most recent posts when I opened the main page and I was able to navigate from the main page directly to a thread of my choice, now I have to at least click one tab to access the forums page.

Thanks for the explanation Matt, I do see the random images now on the sidebar. I am still struggling a bit to navigate to specific areas of interest, either selecting builder's projects or types of information. There is a useful thumbnail page ( that I can't always seem to get to for some reason) where it shows thumbnail photos with its stats, title and description, but the one I have seen only shows thumbnails at random. It would be useful to have a selection page where the thumbnails are shown sorted as per sorting criteria ( such as builders projects) where the photo + stats + title + description is given, then if one wants to look at a specific photo in detail it can be selected to be opened in large format. Many thanks for your efforts.
Best Regards
Rob
