Hi all, not such a short one this time Im afraid...

There is the background: replaced old motherboard with Asus Maximus II Gene and added 4GB of Ram for a total of 8GB DDRII Ram. Setup Win 7 Pro 64 bit and installed all Hardware drivers etc again. My system ran perfectly with no overclocking or anything else for about 3 days. When I monitored it the temps where quite high but never at maximums and I ve never got any messages.

So there comes the problem:

Started my PC for a quick flight the fans go on for approx 3 secs and then turn of again. This repeats 2 times and then the fans start with min rpm and accelerate to probably max rpm in ca 2 mins. No screen no mouse no Bios no keyboard, just all black... What could that be? Burned something?

Some hints maybe how to restore...

Simon

Hi Lads

Thanks for your PMs and Hints.

I had to reset my MB and start up using the old Graphics card. Set the Bios settings to default again clear CMOS and then install the newer GPU.

Simpler as I tought...
