Ok, the weekend has arrived, and its either flying your sim or building, or under orders from the misses!

So what's your plans with your sims?

I'm currently drilling the holes in my radio stack fascia, and inserting the electronics, if I have time, I may wire it up too, also I have to stick on my radio stack fascia to the acrylic panel.....may have a think about backlighting my radio stack too!

Cheers,

Alex

Well for me it is to decide on my computer systems and also decide on how I want to handle my visuals.

Also, need to place order for the shell and interior linings.

I am planning on mounting my carb heat switch and etching/drilling an input matrix PCB so I can finally connect my panel to FSX.

Putting my MIP stand together , .. probably going to try and get some life into the OpenCockpits sever card, .. I really have no idea where to start with the SIOC!!!!

After that I'll probably spend some time sitting staring at the MIP stand trying to figure out how to actually mount the MIP.

I might go to the Aviodrome or the MLM (Dutch Military Aviation Museum) )on Sunday

Mission accomplished. :D

Well, almost. I finished about 3/4 of the drilling before breaking my last PCB drill.

I got 2 of my 3 new projectors delivered on Friday and am taking a storage area in the unfinished basement of my house and framing in walls for a 13x13 foot gaming room. This is going to probably take all this week and next week to get it to where I want it. Half the problem is sorting down old stored crap and making room for it. I have tons of old computer stuff I need to move. I just cleaned off a shelf that had 10 21" CRTs on it.

Research, research, research.

Have not yet bought any hardware or software, but given how close FSWeekend is, I'm gonna wait until then until I can see some products in the flesh.

I've downloaded the demos for Project Magenta, Sim-Avionics and FlightDeckSoftware, so will have a play around with those in the meantime.

I've also knocked a door through from the house directly into the <strike>hanger</strike> garage, making access a lot easier. This needs a final coat of paint.
