Hi all

I am trying to get panels made - primarily for my sim - however, i am battling with dimensions. For example - the EFIS (737) dimensions differ greatly!! I downloaded a CAD file that had dimensions at 161mmX92mm, another site has it at 117mmx62mm and a second site has it at 120mmx73mm.

So what IS the proper dimensions? Does anyone actually know?? If one designs an overhead/glareshield/pedastal what dimensions do you use? If you were to build a MIP and want to fit off the shelf panels how would you be sure what you will eventually buy will fit?

Are there ANY CAD drawings out there that are correct? Or, is this all based on thumb sucking??

How complete are the drawings from each site?

I would match up the drawings from the site that is closest to the actual drawings.

Or

The one that has the most complete drawings.

It's a matter of having the most complete details of the item. The more complete the details the more likely the smaller details are more accurate.

In the end though it's your pit. What ever fits the space you have in the pedestal is the one you need to follow if you already have a pedestal built that is.
