Hi,
well this makes life more difficult actually.:?
I was literally on the verge of ordering a BU0836X (sitting in front of my pc with credit card in hand actually) when his website had just disappeared.

After Leo's site was taken offline i have been looking for alternatives.
I found a site in the Netherlands where i can order a pcb with programmed ATMega16-PI chip (if i understand correctly it is based on Mjoy16) which would give me more or less the same capabilities as a BU board.
Assembling the device is a DIY affair but that should be no problem.
I made some inquiries there and instantly received a decent reply.

Given the fact that Leo seems to be -err how do i put it- not so responsive (based on his replies or the lack thereof on his own forum and also on customer feedback on this forum) i am somewhat reluctant to order from him.

I understand that people sometimes need a break or a holiday of course, but if one wants to really support his own business it does not seem a good thing to just take the website offline and not respond to any e-mail attempts in my opinion - not by my own experience but based on what i read on this forum.

Tried to register to his forum some 3 weeks ago and still awaiting confirmation of the admin (i presume that would be Leo himself) to validate my account.

All in all i do believe he has a good product to offer, but i would like to receive some form of support should i need that.

So yeah, good thing he is back online, but i do believe he has lost some potential customers due to this. Which is a shame, because as i also read on this forum Leo is said to be a stand-up guy.

I for one have to work very hard for my money and need to really make an effort to be able to afford my hobby, and just want to be sure that my money is well spent...:D

So a good think is in order.

Hello guys,
Thank you all for your support and dedication!

I totally admit that I am struggling to provide stellar after-sales support and this was one of the reasons why I have been seriously considering shutting down the whole business. I am not doing this for money to start from so it would be easy to get rid of the pest...

I knew from the outset that I would not be able to support my creations during their lifetime (which will probably surpass mine) so they were designed do be simple, easy to use and with a minimal set of features.

I am the only person who designs, orders parts, manufactures, tests, sends them out and communicates with end users. This is why running runaway hobby is difficult. Unplanned success is a bonus but also a problem as well.

Once again I apologise to anybody whom I have unintentionally offended.
I hope things will get better in the end!

Personally Leo, providing your amazing product didn't dissappear I would be happy with no support. For such an excellent piece of kit they are quite simple to use. The FS comunity being as we are, we can help newbies with the basics.
Please don't stop making them, they are awesome.

Thanks
Paul

Yayyyyy! Leo is back. I just ordered two more cards. One as a back up and the other for a yet to be thought of future project.
