As some of you know my 737 is stacked in a corner for now. As it appears I will be moving again in the spring putting it back together is not an option right now. I have missed my sim VERY much. So I started looking for something else to work on. I did help my son build 2 racing sims. When I noticed one of them no being used I got an idea. I have a Couger HotAS setup and I loved Falcon4 so I did a little investigating and came up with a plan. My new sim for now is a Falcon F-16 or Viper. There is a lot of stuff out there for it panels, software to connect hardware and so forth. A lot like FS! So tonight at some point I will be adding the p[ics of the new sim. This one is proff of concept only and will get rebuilt in the next couple of months but I am back building and loving it!!!!!!

I know how you feel Bob about wanting to build. I stopped building for a few months to study for my exams, and now I have done them and passed, I have had this urge to start building again as I missed it so much, at the moment i.e today, I have not stopped building, I have been covering my MIP with grey vinyl today and making dummy instruments / knobs etc and stuff, I cant stop building, its in my blood I think, i cant sit down without thinking of what I can design and build next / what needs doing that I can do now etc! I have a lack of funds so everything I am building is from scratch, so it is exciting when stuff actually starts coming along!

Good luck with the project, can't wait to see the pics!

Problem with the pics is the way I have the sim situated. Not easy to get pics of it. Going to take some bending around to get any.. Will do my best....

Any pic is better then no pic, that's what I say, really not a problem though if you can't, was just curious as to what you have come up with!

Oh no there will be pics. You will just have to stand on your head to understand some of them!

Well I have posted a few pics of the new build. They are hard to take because of the way I have the sim sitting. This first version is proof on concept and I am using this for testing the setup. So don't expect too much.

Hi Bob,

I know the feeling well, my sim has been in storage since April and I am missing it greatly. I'll have to plug it in for a fly soon, I need a fix!!!

Yeah I now see what you mean about the angles, didn't realise space was that limited, but your on your way now to an F-16 SIM, and I'm sure by your standard it will function perfectly for your needs!

Space is not much of an issue but I wanted it back out of the way. Works great as far as the sim is concerned, just not good for taking pics!!;)
